The short one arm man entered the cage without any drama or flourish, simply moving to his side of the cage and performing a few last second shoulder shrugs to loosen up his arm.

He looks out at the spectators, trying to catch sight of Asp before he begins. She taught him alot in the two beatings she's administered to him so far and he was fully intending to take advantage of them.

Readying for his opponent, he starts bouncing from foot to foot on his toes.

As an FYI, Mike didn't sign up under his real name. Let's just roll with it but I don't expect anyone new to know his real name after this is over.

Michael gets into the cage, wearily looking at the man in front of him. It's really weird to see a cripple willingly join an underground fighting match. Makes you wonder what the guy has up his alley. The doctor starts stepping to the side, slowly, keeping his profile as small as possible.

When faced with the unexpected, never rush in.

Striker also has a usual 2 Def and 1 Armor against Brawl attacks (Kung Fu) as well as Focused Attack which negates a point of armor (which Michael obviously has as well), looks like we're even

Control, control, control. This ain't life or death. Test his defences. Striker thinks to himself as the match starts.

He knows he has the drop on his opponent as he swings in with a quick jab.

His gets in under the other man's guard. Not a hard punch, but that'll come later. Let's see how he does. Striker thinks as he keeps moving on his toes, ready to evade.

Michael winces as the man's punch connects. It's nothing too serious, not yet. His response is swift and fully taking advantage of him having only one hand to block.

The cripple proves to have a better defence that he had expected, though. Indeed, he seems trained in martial arts similar to his own style.

Striker gives a slight grin as he recognises some of his opponents movements, even as a hit connects on his body. This is it. This is what I'm here for.

He makes another tentative strike, a small kick to the side this time, still gauging his opponent's style and keeping on his toes. Then Striker waits, seeing what his opponent will try if he's given a little time.

Striker uses Defensive Attack again this round increasing his defence to 4 but dropping his attack by 2. Next round he will delay his action.

Also, in case it matters, the initiative bonus due to Sucker Punch wears off at 1 per round, so Striker's initiative next round will be 10, then after that 9 for the rest of the match.

Without noticing it, Michael starts to smile. This is less a fight of instinct and more - of skill. Which is just fine with him.

Striker hoped his opponent would give him something to work with, but the other man was being just as cautious as he was, it seemed.

Ok. Let's see how this goes then.

He slowed the pace of his rhythmic movements, allowing for a more powerful and direct strike, but the energy he packed behind the punch was slightly mistimed and the hit wasn't as effective as he hoped.

This wasn't getting them anywhere. Whittling each other down in a caged met was the kind of humiliation Regent of Florin isn't about to suffer in front of everyone who matters inside the domain.

As Striker forgoes his cautious style, Mike slides under his arm, catching a glancing blow in the process and grabs his arm, lowering his center of gravity. He'd underestimated the one-armed warrior but let's see how his lack of limbs works close-up.
