Cabin fever.
It is about the only description there is for it. The world feels like it dips into a lull after the winter solstice only to start begin stretching its legs after the equinox- lest they go mad from the stillness.
Jacque never really paid much mind to the habit until this year. Things were... different in the Domain. No threats or challenges, no puzzles or predicaments and not even so much as a political power play. Even most normal conversations among his kind felt forced to the point they were devoid of any real substance. All in all, it was incredibly boring.
So the Lord found himself here, in some random pub that was trending up in popularity. They had recently advertised an extended late night happy hour menu, so the promise was good for something... fresh. He was dressed slightly more casual than usual, but not anything less than a refined taste. He purchased a handful of random Keno tickets and placed them at open chairs around the bar, keeping two for himself as he sat at an empty table. Keeping one eye on the Keno display, he waited and watched for how the night would unfold.
