Kaze smiles. "Nice recovery." he says. "Honestly, I think I might use Floating Step too much. It's different, more challenging having to muscle through." he says. "Your form is actually better than mind. My athletic career was more about throwing things." he says. "This feels good."

[Phoenyx]

The leer continues, but the corners of Phoenyx's smile tug as she tries to repress a smile. "Flattery won't work, you know," she says, although experience will tell Kaze the exact opposite is true.

"I had a lot of practice at different things - thrown weapons, knifes... although Sensei had me train with another teacher for firearms. It wasn't his thing but he seemed to think it would be important." Phoenyx uses the conversation to try and scrabble ahead.... a lot more successfully than last time.

Where was Sonnie now? asked nobody.

Why, she was dangling by her feet from some climbing bars. Some might call them monkey bars.

She was just hanging out, listening to music on her phone through some earbuds. Something that, judging from the happy beat, sounded like K-Pop. Figures.

[Kaze]

Kaze notices Sonnie Wu as Phoenyx pulls ahead of him again. Is she hanging by her feet? Man, she's light years ahead of me. Gymnast? Or just world-class jungle gymnast! he thinks, quickly refocusing on Phoenyx's rising behind and carefully trying to pick feet and hand holds to rise after her!

"There," Kaze says, controlling his breathing as he pulls even with Phoenyx. "It's good, and hard doing this without any special 'help'!"

"I do wish we had something like this back at the house. I mean, it's tall enough. Or maybe just find a natural rockface we could practice on with all our special, um 'accessories'. It would be good to get used to what it feels like that way too." he muses.

[Phoenyx]

A glance down at just the right moment has the Young arrow spot her lover staring up at her butt. She smiles smugly as he makes his way alongside.

"You get stronger for it," Phoenyx teases. "You shouldn't rely on special skills all the time. If they fail, you still have your body, and mind."

And I know​ one of those is good...

[Sonnie Wu]

Still hanging upside down, her feet hooked over the bar from which she dangles, Sonnie eyed the romantic pair from a quiet distance. She couldn't make out anything they were saying, but their expressions were reassuring. She was glad, having been worried the man's brief interest in her had possibly ruined his date with the woman.

Good. I didn't interfere in their desires for each other. That would have been... something. Weird? Awkward? Inappropriate? Their desires are their own.

Smiling to herself, Sonnie swayed back and forth. She should maybe right herself soon before too much blood goes to her head.

[Kaze]

Kaze smiles and climbs some more, flexing for show as he goes by Phoenyx with a smile. "Yeah," he says. "I would like to practice under the same kind of conditions that it would be, if we had to do it, you know, for real."

"But this just feels good!" he laughs out loud. "I am SO glad you suggested it!"

"I'm happy with this... though trying out on the rock face would be cool. I hear you need to have a certain skill to do that kind of thing," Phoenyx ponders aloud. "What do you think?"

Out of the corner of her eye she watches the cute girl moving overhead.

Kaze smiles, looking over at Phoenyx's face, making eye contact with an affectionate expression. "I did the orientation, before. They use tie offs, so you don't take a bad fall. I think we're here to have fun trying new stuff; let's go for it." he says.

"It's a little more about brute strength, though, and staying snug; we could try it another time if you're tiring out." he says innocently. "Bouldering is supposed to be the same, even better for a whole body strength work out."

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx's eyes widen incredulously. "Tiring out? I'll show you, wise-ass."

She slips down and jogs quickly over to the wall, before setting off up the wall.
