"OK, ok," Joshua assents. Finally finding a pay phone, he pulls up to it. Morning traffic has begun, and now dull grey faces on dull grey people fill the dull grey landscape. Joshua rattles off the phone numbers to Ash as he parks the car.
"OK, ok," Joshua assents. Finally finding a pay phone, he pulls up to it. Morning traffic has begun, and now dull grey faces on dull grey people fill the dull grey landscape. Joshua rattles off the phone numbers to Ash as he parks the car.
Ash hops out of the truck and makes the first call. Seeing as West and Ankh were an item, Ash started with her. As he does, he keeps an eye on the grey drones stuck in their monotonous lives.
Monotony can kiss my arse.
Ash hangs up and walks quickly back to the truck. He has the pale look of a man who has just heard the devil....trying to impersonate a woman. The Moros hops in.
"Drive! Now Josh, just fucking drive!" As he speaks, Ash glances from the window, understanding why Henry was so fucking crazy.
Joshua takes off, looking over at Ash. "What happened?!"
Ash needs to roll Wits+Com-7 as well...
Absolute Bollocks....
"Someone was trying to impersonate Ankh!" he says in a panic.
"So the call was hijacked, or she doesn't have her phone," Joshua replied grimly. "Where to now?"
Ash shakes his head and can feel its a reaction to the rest of him shaking.
How the fuck should I know? is what he wanted to say. Instead, he rubbed his face 'cos that usually worked.
"Right, so we could try another phonebox and another phone? Falx or Orphan, right?"
"Yeah," Joshua answers, although he sounds none to thrilled or committed to the idea. "Let me find..."
Suddenly, the car lurches, and the lights on the dash blink twice and die, as the car slows.
"Great," Ash sighs. "Trust us to pick a car that's low on gas. Come on, time to walk the rest of the way." Ash hops out of the vehicle.
Joshua follows, getting out of the car, making sure to take his pistol. "Should we wipe it down for prints?"
Need a Perception (Wits+Composure) roll from Ash...
