Chance Die
cool, please resume
Saying nothing, Ash does as Joshua instructs, keeping one eye on the road ahead and one on the lights behind.
Who said men can't multitask.
Ash makes the turn, and behind them a few moments later, the sound of squealing breaks... then sliding... then a muted crunching of metal and glass as the car tries to make the turn and slides out of control.
Ash smirks following the flinching sound of the trailing car crashing.
"I do hope they had airbags as standard."
Grr. I had written a post last night but it seems the comp ate it instead of adding it to the thread. :(
Joshua can't help but laugh out loud when he hears the crash; he cranes in his seat to look behind them, wanting to make sure the other car is out of commission. "Nice driving," he says to Ash.
The street is empty; apparently the other car slid past the intersection before it's collision.
"All right, keep going," he says to Ash, the mirth bleeding away. "We'll keep an eye out and see if anyone else wants to try and tag along."
He directs Ash towards the Kruegan's old Sanctum.
Which I would have done IC except I can't find a link to the map, now. Do we still have it?
Good catch; I forgot to add a link to the Facebook Style. It's there now, under the Glossary link.
Ash drives as directed, although both realize they're heading towards a stronghold held by the enemy.
Are you taking a direct route, or... ?
Joshua is going to give directions based on an indirect route, based on the following logic:
1) He believes the Cruiser got away clean.
2) The Cruiser is rather distinctive, and early morning traffic is light enough that major thoroughfares could easily be watched and see it coming.
3) He's hoping to catch up with them before they get to one of the two destinations and move on it, and
4) Their truck is stolen, so there's no reason to be on a major road and maybe get seen by the cops.
Joshua is quiet as he thinks the situation over. "If we can catch up to them we can regroup somewhere else before trying to take one of the enemy bases," he says to Ash. It would do no good to keep any ideas he had from the other Moros. "If we get there before them, we can leave some kind of message to meet us elsewhere. Then we just have to see what we've got and figure out a way to get into the Seers' very place of power. Easy as pie." His tone on this last bit is quite dry--it's suicide and he knows it.
