Asa calls Jacob

[Asa]

An unfamiliar number lights up Jacob White's phone.

*riiiiiiing*

[White]

As his phone sprang into life Jacob eyed the number, at his hour it probably wasn't solicitation... Which meant something likely important. Leaning back into his chair he brought the phone to his ear, "Hello? This is Jacob speaking." That or a wrong number.

[Asa]

"Good evening, Mr. White. This is Mr. Clarke."

Asa's voice was deep, but not overwhelming and the words came at a leisurely pace before he paused to let Jacob process.

"I'd like to discuss your book club with you, at the library. Is it still [Chapter House address]?"

He'd heard, over the years, references to a second Chapter House before David Regan had burnt the Covenant to the ground.

[White]

The voice was the first thing that sunk in, oh god what did I do.
Wait, maybe nothing? Be cool scooby, like the wind. Where the hell did that come from? He shook his head.

"Good evening to you as well, I'd be happy to." When he spoke an unfamiliar address Jacob cringed the visual barrier of the phone a welcome comfort. "In all honestly Mr. Clarke with the other members suddenly leaving the city I was never proactive enough to ask them where it was. I would be happy to check that location, but I do not know what I would find." I don't even have keys for god's sake.

[Asa]

Well, that answered one question.

"Then that is where it is. It's a nice sized estate. I'll meet you there at [date / time]. Good evening, Mr. White."

Asa waited for any returned pleasantries before hanging up.

[White]

"I will see you then, good evening to you as well Mr. Clarke." He would check his calendar after, anything else could be rescheduled. He allowed the Prince to hang up first.
