There comes a time in every mage's life when constantly having to make and maintain the delicate tapestry of spell craft becomes irksome. An imago was like stained glass: burning whirls and geometrical Patterns of light and power, crackling with the Supernal as it was squeezed into existence and form around an Awakened Magus. They were also heavy and deeply resonant when layered in close proximity - a threatening buzzing noise that chafed at the body and the soul. Campanella knew this acutely: if he found himself waring too many of the delicate latticeworks of Supernal energies at once, he found that he bruised.
And all too quickly, those filigree energy fields woven of Will and Word, melted away into nothingness: hours at the most; days when infused and strengthened with Mana.
There were ways around this: flipping the equation and turning a short chant or burst of power into a slow burn ushered into existence over the course of many hours. The trick there was to last: to hold an Imago in one's mind for hours at a time; to stand carefully poised in motion and stillness in a specially prepared space, repeating and layering gesture after gesture; until the power built and the Word carried weight and the world peeled back for one moment when the Supernal rained down, and crystalized as the Imago one had wrought with mind and word and deed.
Campanella had been attempting this method, practicing formulae he had not used since his apprenticeship with Cordoba in D.C. It was like flexing a long disused muscle and the Moros was struggling. At least he was still standing: formal robes, intricate formal steps around a temporary alter in the empty space of his Athenaeum; the alter draped and upon it a Book, a Candle, a Knife and a Bowl. The Book was a hoary old tome; the candle was thick and scented; the knife was for show; and the bowl was for sustenance.

He had been Working now for 9 hours, pushing himself. His face glistened. His hair stuck fast to his scalp and drooped, slick, over his forehead. His voice croaked with the words and while his movements remained practiced and precise, his chin was trembling with the effort.
He was close but not close enough. The Imago he had constructed for this most basic of spells should have been burning bright, yet it guttered and glowered like cold metal over hot coals.
Heaving a sigh he took his chance, drained the bowl to the dregs, wiped his brow, and struck up his ritual dance with desperate vigour. He managed to dance for three more hours...

Nothing happened. His Word was a wheeze. His arms ached. The Imago, wan and wasted, threatened to dissolve into nothing more than ambient Mana. With a desperate cry he struggled for clarity even as his limbs seemed to become lead. He tore into his Imago, stripping from it a complicating outer layer: shrunken and stunted, the Pattern flared with just enough precious power.
This Sight spell would hold its burning white form for a week.
Only once the spell had settled upon his shoulders did the Mystogogue slide to his knee's before the alter, panting.
Campanella attempts to cast Supernal Vision as a ritual. He has Gnosis 2, so casting takes 12 hours. Willpower spent to alter spell parameters - Duration 1 Month to 1 Week.
