Moving In (Open)

Morgan giggled and gave Mhairi a "good job" grin as she went inside. She was at the back of the group and almost synced with Mhairi when she asked Alex "Drama?"

Wait, they'd rescued a chef, "Ye rescued a chef? A lady chef? So ye, heh, rescued a damsel?" Morgan had no trouble keeping up with the others. It was indeed much easier with three friends then just two for carrying the luggage. "Excellent work, heh, on thine part, heh, Alex!"

[Swami M]

"Yeah, we had a ourselves a little adventure in the Hedge. Of course adventures are more fun when they're happening to somebody else. We got what... who we came for, but it cost us."

Alex sobers at the memory of those that had not come back.

"But the 'drama' I referred to is all the stuff happening at home. The departures. The scene at the Autumn event..."

Mhairi beamed at Morgan's giggle and the grin that followed. She hadn't had any girly-girl talk in a while...she might need some.

"Stuff like that normally dose." Mhairi notes, hefting the suitcase higher. Stuff like that normally didn't cost a Freehold a Queen though. But it was surprising to hear a Summer not wanting to be in the thick of an adventure.

"Oh." Mhairi breathed, her fell-flames flickering. "That drama." Ever since Scampy left, and Bronson never Swore...finding out about FRick...she sorta forgot about the drama that lead to her Crowning. "Well...people come and go whenever they please. And. The Wyrd works in mysterious way...?" Today was going to be FRick free! She just wanted to lazy about and help her Paladin move in, not get into the nitty gritty of what a disaster that little speck of drama could have become.

Morgan let out a put upon sigh, "Sometimes I think, heh, the Wyrd doth favor the practical joke, heh." she too didn't want to talk about FRick and his antics right now. She'd rather complete her lodging before such discussion at the minimum. Should could think of other topics quite easily, "Twas less dramatic then my first, heh, visit here. Someone got exiled and I, heh-heh, pissed off all four sovereigns."

Pausing at the door to her "regular" room, Morgan shifted her grip on a suitcase so she could open the door with her left hand. The "grip" consisted of leaning against the wall while she had her left knee up against the suitcase's base, her chin down pinning down the top of it. It also made talking awkward, "If recollect, <mumble> yeah, heh, second visit I pissed of Betony whilst defending Mal, heh-heh."

She got the door open, "Still, heh, better then Chicago. Nary any folks in this, heh, 'hold hath tried to break my legs. Courier drugs. Or, heh, pull pranks that'd hath a good chance of death or crippling of me, heh." Morgan had said it all in a "matter of fact" tone. The next part was more panicked: "Whoa, whoa, whoa, stay! Staaay," she was yelling at the poorly balanced suitcase as she tried to re-grip it. It didn't work and it fell to the floor. "...figures," she kicked the case into the room. A mental image popped into the Paladin of Shadow's mind.

She chuckled, "Ye ken? Meh-beh it would hath been easier to taken up ye and Green on thine heh Hollow offer. Imagine Green'd heh hath an easier time with the luggage, heh, then we art right now, heh-heh," Green's size would've been quite the advantage in picking things up and putting things down.

[Seraphina]

The bus finally arrived at the address Sera had scribbled down. Public transportation just sucked! Maybe she should get a bike or something. Well, then maybe she should get a job. A little money might help that.

A heavy messenger style bag was slung over her shoulder as she stepped off the bus. She had attempted to dress down and not draw a lot of attention. But she knew with her eyes and looks it didn’t matter what she wore. Maybe she should test that theory and wear a potato sack or something. The thought made her chuckle as she walked to the front door. Todays casual meant jeans and a white tank top, over which was a well worn leather coat.

A hand was raised as she knocked, not knowing if she should just enter or not. It was a Boarding House, but she wasn’t sure what the rules were, and best to error on the side of caution and not barge in.

Morgan froze, ear twitching as she tilted her head, "Uh...did either of ye, heh, hear knocking?"

Green offered Morgan a place in his Hollow? Mhairi blinked. Did that mean that Morgan was a part of the Mountain's Motley?

Mhairi cocks an ear. "Sounds like." Mhairi flashes the others a smile, "Be back in a bit." before setting the suitcase down, and darting down the stairs.

Taking a peak out the window Mhairi wasn't to surprised to see Seraphina outside waiting to be let in. Opening the door in a smooth motion, Mhairi gives the Fairest a smile. "Hello," and waves her inside. "What brings you to our neck of the woods? Company? Or are you wanting a place to stay?" To the Wisp, either answer would be fine.

[Seraphina]

As the door opens, Sera smiles at Mhairi, a hand raising in greeting,

“Hey Mhairi!” greets the Nix as she follows her into the building, “Oh, well, both actually! I am always up for great company, and I was hoping to take you up on the offer to stay here while I got settled. Well, uh, if that offer is still on the table.” She hoped it was, otherwise this was going to feel awkward.

Alex also greets the new arrival.

"Welcome aboard. Do you also have things to move in?"

[Mhairi Ankaa]

"Of course the offer's still on the table! I would be very bad at running this Boarding House if I reneged on that promise!" Mhairi smiled, her fell-flames looking around Sera's feet.

Then she nodded, "What he said. Do you have any bags? Or did you think I wouldn't let you stay so you didn't bring any? Or was your visit just a company seeking one with a side mission to see if I was a lying lier who lies? 'Cause I'm not. Really." Mhairi smiles, "If it helps, Morgan's moving in right now."
