I write to ask if you would be willing to accept the position of Reeve for the Domain of Sacramento. From what I know of you, I believe it could be place you could excel and grow. However, I also ask that you do not feel required to reply in the affirmative. This is a position I believe is best filled by one who wants the job and responsibilities it entails. You are not obliged to accept and I would not have you be. Please consider though and give me your reply when you are ready. Thank you.

Numerous things went through Victoria's mind as she read the letter for the tenth time trying to wring every last bit of meaning out of it. After she overcame her initial disbelief her mind settled on suspicious while trying to figure out the man's motives or meaning in nominating her the position of Reeve. After much thought on the matter she smiled and penned her response in a perfect flowing script.

Seneschal Gilroy,

First of all I would like to congratulate you on the appointment to the position of Seneschal. I wish you the best in your new position and while it is challenging, I am certain the city is in good hands.

Secondly, I would like to thank you for your letter and for thinking of me to fill such an important role in the domain, I am quite flattered at your faith in my abilities. I have given the matter much consideration and would be happy to accept the position of Reeve of Sacramento. It is a wonderful opportunity to affect real, and positive influence in the domain and from our interactions I believe that we could work well together.
