As Martha completes her playing, ending her small recital with a version of the unmistakable Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, she nods to Vivian and Katya.
The trio make their way to a small office and meeting room to confer in private...
Their deliberations don't take too long.
Leaning on her cane, Martha makes her way back to the microphone and adjusts her spectacles. Smiling, she begins to cheerily make her small announcement...
"Your Highness," she nods to Asa, "Your Grace..." she nods respectfully to Twist, "Ladies and gentlemen, the Seneschal and I wish to thank you all for the effort you've all taken in entering into the spirit of the theme this evening!" she sounds sincere.
"Thank you! The Seneschal, Whip York and I conferred and we have selected a winner for the competition. However, recognizing the competition to be very strong this evening, we also wish to offer an honorable mention. Our deliberations recognized the effort and ingenuity taken by everyone who participated, but a special mention is offered to Her Grace, the Royal Archon, Twist for her dazzling and eye catching costume!" she dips a meek curtsey to the lovely Archon to acknowledge the mention.
Rising from her curtsey, Martha took a simple white 'bank style' envelope from the top of the piano. Containing the prize money...
"With thanks to all; I trust everyone will join me in acknowledging the victor ludorum: Whip Alessandra Antinori! Congratulations, Whip Antinori!" she offered her own applause and smiled, allowing the Whip to come over to collect the prize envelope at her leisure and convenience.

"Thank you, I am truly glad it was successful." At the music, Twist likewise turned to see Martha and a single eyebrow arched with a murmured "Indeed," as she watched the Keeper play for a moment.
Turning to Brittany she nodded slightly, again in agreement. "May it be an auspicious start to this year's Courts,"
Before the small gathering had much of a chance to begin a new conversation though, Martha again drew the rooms attention.
At the honorable mention for her costume, Twist gave a small bow of respect and thanks toward the judges. And then turned to offer her congratulations to the true winner, "I am clearly not the only one who enjoyed your outfit and it seems your research paid off most handsomely. Congratulations!"
Brittany smiled back at the Royal Archon's response, glad they were in agreement. At the announcement of Twist as an honorable mention Brittany offered a happy round of applause. But it was the announcement of Ale as the winner that really elicited excitement from Brittany. She felt they had already grown close since her arrival and was happy to see Ale receiving the winning votes.
"Congratulations Whip Antinori, and to you as well Royal Archon Twist. Both of you look amazing." Sometimes Brittany felt truly stifled by titles, but she figured in public it was best to just side with caution and use their titles when offering her congratulations.
Konrad strides away from the Prince's company towards his Whip. The walk is not hurried, though there's an energy of excitement giving him a brisk pace.
He nods respectfully to Twist. "Your Grace," he says, still wondering about the Prince's echo of the title.
"Congrats, Ale. Way to rock that outfit," he says with a grin. While idling closer to her, he adds in a lowered voice, "I need to talk to you later about something. Maybe we can get together tomorrow night if you're free?"

-2 Vitae for Blush of Life and Drink, A smile was offered to her Cousin as she listened to Martha play. She was actually quite good.
And then Martha stopped and the announcement was made. And, wait, what?! Her widen slightly in surprise, cause winning was something she defiantly had not expected.
Looking to Twist, she bows her head, "Grazie Your Grace." how her costume won over Twists was weird to her, but hey, she'll go with it.
"Thank you Brittany." she says with a wide smile to her Cousin.
And then Konrad came over to congratulate her as well. Bowing her head slightly to her Priscus, "Thank you Priscus Roth." the smile remained. Who wouldn't be happy about winning a contest? Matching his tone, "Of course, always have free time for my Priscus." which was true.
Katya gives a round of applause for Martha's quick improvisation at providing entertainment after last minute technological snafus. With a gesture of her hand Katya says "I will just listen thank you Mistress." in response to Martha's inquiry for dancing, it's not that she is against such actions, but she feels that she'd rather not take away from the conversations already happening in court by asking someone to join her.
After it's done, she follows Martha and Vivian into a private room to discuss the winner. Once she returns, she stands off to the side, granting Martha the spotlight as she announces the winner. Eyes shift from Asa, to Twist and then finally to Alessandra. Katya grins herself when she sees the look of surprise on her cousins' face. It looking at the outfit once more, Katya is reassured in her decision, watching Alessandra step forward and admiring at how she commands the room. It fits like a glove as they typically say.
"COngratulations your Grace. It was truly a difficult decision." she says to Twist. She stands close by in the event her Grace has anyhting to add, but is sure to give a nod of respect to Ale, mouthing the words "Well done cousin. Your kind words are appreciated with regards to this Court in addition to others." if the Whip should look her way.

Asa offered Alessandra a nod of congratulations, choosing to keep his distance and let those she knew offer theirs without skewing the conversation.
For a moment he studied the sultry brunette, noting her tattoos and wondering if she were young enough for their styling to be in vogue before her Embrace or if she'd found them worthy of the effort to keep them after she'd died. While some found such vanity foolhardy, he'd always considered it an interesting litmus test of a particular Kindred's resolve.
He waited for Twist 's eyes to cross his and gave her a congratulatory nod as well.
"Well chosen," Asa said to no one in particular.

Martha sees that the evening is advancing well enough.
An odd choice of theme, to be sure, but it's proven an uncommonly stimulating evening.
Taking the chance, Martha gripped her cane and hobbled over to Twist hoping, as the evening draws to a gentle conclusion, to sneak a short dance with the Archon.
