Varyx, having settled nicely into her new apartment, is looking for a way of contacting the local mage community.
Back in San Francisco, she heard tell of a woman who went by the name Avis who was the Councillor for the Mastigos Path here in Sacramento. Having called in a few favours and done a little digging, she's found a number at which to contact Avis.
Seated in her apartment, she dials the number and listens to it ring...

"Yo," comes the curt answer over the line. Maybe she was busy. Or upset because she didn't know the number. Or maybe her phone skills just needed work. Hard to tell from the lack of inflection in that one syllable.

|
|
Varyx smiles. "Avis," she greets, sounding amused at the shortness of response. She's careful to pronounce Avis' name correctly, having been told it's a pet peeve to do otherwise. "My name is Varyx. A little bird told me you would be the person a new Mastigos in town should talk to. Did you have a moment to meet? Perhaps show a new girl around?"

There was a moment of silence where Avis merely scowled at the wall across from her. Great. Another Warlock with loose lips. That was going to have to be curbed. Quickly.
"Yeah, alright, fine. Downtown Bus station. You need to get there in the next hour. Do not be late. Oh, and don't forget to put your eyes on."
Then the line went dead.
