Unfortunately for Lynn, Marcus made his escape too quickly for her to follow. She took a deep breath before looking over at Coco and managing a cool smile.

"Anything can be an instrument of murder, even something as simple as a cruel word." Lynn shrugged and laced her fingers over one knee. "You would think that anybody who's lived through what we have, would understand that."

"You have a temper, Ms. Tascioni. One that you have no compunction of letting loose on whoever happens to be in front of you. I truly wonder if you're happy working security in our little gardening club," the closest she could reference Coco's position in the Spring court, "or if you'd prefer to be working with Marcus and Ramona."

Yeah, Lynn does not pull any punches any more. Never thought she'd be quite this feisty when I first started writing for her, but it works. Or maybe Coco just brings out the worst in her. Who knows?
