The phone rings for a long, long time. Just before it cuts out, the line opens.
At first, nothing. Faint sounds of clinking and metallic... tension.
"Ah. Eh. Yes?"

"Hildegarde. I have need of you, so does your family, and thus we must speak. When are you available?" Josephine demanded, deciding to skip right past the usual game of pleasantries.

|
"Oh. It is so nice to be wanted. And I do so have a desire to speak with you also." There is a pause; metal clinks and shivers. The Lord grunts from effort. "Now, how about we meet up at the Nox. I"m sure we can obtain a private booth."

"If you desire privacy, as I dearly do, then the Nox is not the place we must meet. Come to the Moore House. I shall be waiting for you there, whenever you are done molesting whatever contraption is occupying your time," Josephine replied, her tone more amused than derisive.

"As you wish," the Lord sounded resigned.
After the call, Hildegarde watched from her contorted position while her servant, Iago, lowered the handset.
"Home ground advantage," she said with a fake smile.
