Unique was just what the Daeva liked to hear which was probably why that the shopping complex by Oak Park was appealing. She wore a snappy blue plaid fitted suit complete with lace gloves, her hair was red and she walked briskly to the entrance of the complex. Upon entering, at first, all she saw was food; walking and shifting their way around booths and shops on a hunt of their own. But, her dinner would need to wait for now. Shopping would just have to do for now.

The Daeva made her way to the fashions, although she should probably do a little shopping for a couple of others. That little selfish part of her said to go ahead, browse away. Vivian had came upon Treetop Fashions, and began browsing. There were several who were also perusing the little boutique.

Instantly, she spotted the gloves on display. “Well hello you gorgeous pairs of apparel.”

    Description

Terri's Mask is that of a petite, cute woman with vibrant red hair that has black streaks throughout. Obviously athletic, her natural demeanour is friendly and she always tends to have a smile on her face.

Her fae mien is akin to a red squirrel. She has a long bushy tail and ear tufts that poke through her hair. The black streaks are actually black feathers the are a part of her mien now,; a part of her noble order.

Terri's powerful Mantle initiates itself as the smell of baking bread but brings with it the feeling of the Harvest, that time to take stock of the coming troubles.

Terri gave a gracious smile towards Faye, not commenting on the quality of the workmanship. She was lucky to have such a good workshop in her Hollow; along with a decent sewing machine. "Okay, we can do that," Terri chuckled. "Were you looking for an accessory or a dress?"

Even though the proprietor of the stall was speaking with Faye, her eyes did wonder towards the redhead looking at the gloves, making Terri slightly jealous of the suit she had on, which was positively gorgeous. Maybe for Winter, Terri considered.

With the women slowly filling up her stall, Terri almost missed the man, who simply failed to stand out among those around her. Still, she was a professional and smiled warmly. "We certainly do!" she replied to Fionn. "Do you have a particular colour in mind?"

Tessa was excited to go Christmas shopping this year. Largely because she could actually go Christmas shopping period. Before her Durance, she didn't have any money to buy anything and no one in particular to buy anything for. But now, she actually had quite a few people she wanted to get something for. Malcolm, Morgan, Ava, ...maybe Malory. They had all helped her get acquainted to life as a Changeling so she had been scrimping and saving specifically so she could get something for them. Tis the season to give, after all. So in came Tessa, dressed in a simple navy blue pullover hoodie and some jeans, her feet graced by a beat up pair of tennis shoes. Not the most alluring attire, but when you only had one jacket and a variety of jeans, things tend to look samey-samey. Upon entering the shopping center, she eagerly accepted the mince pie, though she was forced to take the eggnog. Stupid new underage rule, 18 was a fine enough age to sample alcohol, there had been no need to change it.

The ferret girl was actually surprised to be so many people. Like, actual people people and not those who had spent a time in Faerie. She knew Sacramento was a large town and this was far from the first time she had seen an actual person. But... she didn't exactly go to busy places, not anymore. She took local jobs out of the newspaper, shopped at thrift shops, and bought food from small places for their cheap prices when she didn't eat out. What gatherings she had been to had been for Changelings by Changelings so naturally there were a good many there and even her living arrangement was at the local 'Ling Orphanage of sorts. This might be her first time to be out and about in a large crowd of people who were normal and had no clue about what she and others like her had been through. And she was... depressed. The tail sticking out of her jeans drooped as she suddenly felt like the outcast she was. It was disheartening to look up and realize that you'd spent so long with the supernatural part of society that what was normal was no longer normal. She suddenly felt keenly aware of the discoloration of her face, the round ears sticking out of her hair, the tail hanging behind her, and the claws tipping her fingers.

But this was no time to be feeling sorry for herself. She stuffed her feelings down with her pie and washed her discomfort down with the nog. With that done, she made her way up to the loft. Heights were good. They were safe. She couldn't start scaling a wall in here with all these people here but a little ways off the ground was better than ground level. Now the question was what to get. First was Green. He first introduced her to the Freehold and he was never around for her to properly thank so he'd be the first person on her gift list. But what would he want? Maybe a jacket? No, at his size and apparent penchant for wandering, anything useful for him would probably be out of her budget range. And knick knacks might be tacky, she didn't even know what he liked. Maybe music?

While musing over what she was going to get the mountain-man, she felt somebody ( Kyle Ferlen ) brush by her. Probably out of inattention but there was always the chance they were just being rude. Never mind that she hadn't been paying too much attention to where she was going either. Wanting to tell him to at least watch where he was going, she turned to look up at the fellow. Unfortunately, being 5'00" and lacking much in the way of muscle tone didn't really help her in being intimidating.

"Hey bub! Mind watching where... oh thank god, you're like me." Her annoyance dwindled as she recognized the man for what he was. A Changeling like her. The place may be busy but at least she wasn't the only one who didn't fit in so well. "Sorry, sorry, that was probably random. Just some stuff I was thinking about. Still, you might want to watch your step. Whats got you so worked up anyway? You look a little... Lost, if I do say myself."

Fionn smiled warmly at the cheery woman, the sight of her hair reminding him of home.
"I was looking for blood red, wine purple or royal blue. But I'm only a man and will always trust the advice of a lady. Looking for a nice present for powerful lady, need to make a good impression on a new Directors wife."

The longer he spent in the shop the bigger the smile on his face.
He was really enjoying this joyful season, and the cheery presence of the redhead who ran the shop.

It was a great time for the Silver Gate to be open late. For it marked only the second time the Twilit Page had actually visited it, which was kind of bad given her status as Autumn's "welcome wagon" for new arrivals. It was the neutral ground after all. Plus she'd heard so many good things about the Wonder Imporium, she should check it out at some point. She chuckled to herself, beneath her hoodie at the silliness of her not visiting more often. She had eschewed her usual safety jacket, as it still needed to air out the smokey smell. Instead, she'd opted for a logoless hoodie with red and wipe stripes she'd found somwhere or other. A pair of black cargo pants with a similar red stripe to go with her blue sneakers and pair of gloves filled out her outfit.

As a small trail of brown leaves followed her through the farmer's market, the Twilit Page promised she'd visit this place more often to herself. They had good food and some was free, like the minced pie she grabbed. A bite told her that minced meant meat. She'd swear someone was baking bread too, or had recently. She could smell it.

As she went up the stairs to the stores a guy with funny hair got jostled at the top by a man with a cane. The funny guy didn't seem to notice the wad of cash he'd been holding bounce away. Morgan however did, and easily followed the wad, weaving through the crowd, and stooping to pick it up.

She then turned around to try to find the guy. She took in a couple of things when she did that. First, the bread smell was coming from a familiar squirrel lady. Second, a familiar grumpy wolf was wearing a smiley hoodie. That made her freeze in place. It took the raccoon a moment to process that before she shook her head off of it and looked for Mr Bouncy Hair. She found him walking back the way he came and tried to catch up with him, "Um-um, e-e-xcuse m-me, sir? Um, heh-hello, s-sir?" Morgan was a little too quiet and had to get closer.

Eventually, she caught up to him and tugged and his green sweater's back, "Um-um, zzzorry to-to bother you sssir. B-b-but think you d-drop this," she offered him the wad of cash with her right hand.

It was then she finally noticed the dude didn't have dreadlocks, he had vines and several other fae features. Oops, "Um, uh...hi?" Morgan forced on a wide, very awkward smile. This perked up into an actual smile upon noticing Tessa, "Oh, hey-hello! Fun ssssee you here, heh, Tessa...Y-you familiar with this dood?" She pointed with her left hand at Kyle.

    Mask

Kyle is handsome, with a strong jawline that is usually marred with stubble or an unkempt beard. He has short, messy brown hair that is often hidden beneath a hat. When he moves about he is accompanied by the sound of rustling foliage. He has bright, expressive brown eyes.
    Mien

Kyle's hair - his real hair - is comprised of short, tangled vines. He sports hornlike growths of twisted branches behind his pointed, elegant ears. His skin tone is tinted with the slightest hint of green, and is covered with crisscrossing white scars on his back and arms. His hair on his face and body is green and fibrous like the tufts on an ear of corn. Shifting vines grow from his palms, which are usually coiled around his hands like bandages. His irises are dull and pale.

Kyle, in his haste and with his attention on the floor, brushes up against someone again. She starts off like she is going to snap at him; she finishes by overtly mentioning the little fact that they are who they are. Kyle quickly takes stock of the short girl. She looks kindof like a ferret. Always wanted one of those. He cringes at the way she carries on, but then offers her a sympathetic look.

"Sorry. Came here hoping to do a little shopping and ended up dropping my money somewhere. Scuse me a sec while I go look for it." He starts to turn away again, feeling a little guilty at cutting her off short. Hah! Short... Before he gets anywhere, a tug on his sweatshirt and a voice grabs his attention. He turns to face the one who spoke. Noticing that she, too, has a sort of bandit mask marking, Kyle wonders just how many 'like them' there are in the city. When he realizes that she found his money, he reaches out with the pinky of his pie-holding hand and - with the help of the vines encircling his fist - accepts the wad. He smiles a grateful smile.

"Thanks, miss....?" He raises his eyebrows expressively as he drags out the word 'miss'.

The sweet, fragrant smells of roses mixed with lilacs emanate from her as she casts magic. The scent intensifies, bordering on intoxicating, when Life magic is cast. When Aurora casts Vulgar magic, the scent takes a nasty turn, to the putrid, nauseating odor of a rotting corpse. The stronger the magic, the more those around want to retch at the smell.

Faye was momentary in awe of the other red headed woman who came by the shop. There was something enticing about her and her eyes. Sacramento was certainly filled with beautiful woman she thinks with a smile looking back to Terri.

“Oh, um,” she pauses, “I wouldn’t dare buy her a dress, so maybe an accessory.” She agreed, eager to see what the friendly woman could recommend. Yeah, defiantly an accessory, it was easier to match with other pieces in someones wardrobe.

Tessa pays attention to the fellow as he rambles off an apology... at least until she sees Morgan. She gives her a wave and turns to her as soon as there's a lull in the talking.

"Hey, I didn't expect to see you here. Nah, we literally just bumped in to each other. You here to do some shopping as well or you just enjoying the sights." Tessa then notices something off about the vine-laced fellow. Looking back towards him, she realizes he isn't connected to her, not like Morgan was. He hadn't taken the Freehold Oath yet. Her mind raced back to the Bonfire Night, remembering what she had been told about Loyalists and Privateers, Changelings who still served their Keeper. And there were a lot of people here, people who didn't know anything about this, and multiple ways for him to just disappear into a hideaway with them. She was suddenly very focused on the fellow. Could he be a servant for Them? No, she couldn't rush to conclusions. Maybe he was new. Maybe he was Fresh from the Hedge. And if he wasn't here for to take the oath at Autumn's beginning, then he could've just missed his chance. Still, she was more cautious of him now.

Vivian had watch the pair bumble around, bumping into each other. It was bound to happen considering how crowded it was. The Succubus glanced toward Fionn as he rattled off a few colors. Curious as she was to hear a little more about why he mentioned them specifically.

The man in the dreads seemed to be bustling about, her eyes lingered on him for a moment. In all the years, she never understood that hairstyle. A constant rat’s nest seemed more of an upkeep than some of the hairstyles she had over the years.

The Daeva had been idling listening while browsing the gloves, scarves and…

    Oooo, what did I hear?

“Did someone say dresses?” Casually walking toward Terri and Faye. “I’m also interested. Especially if you have a dress to match the fabulous gloves I saw in the accessories.”

Fionn felt a little surprised that he was getting this much attention from such charming ladies.
"I'll take a blood red pashmina and a matching pair of gloves. They tell me red is a colour of the season and it should be easy to match with other parts of her wardrobe."
