Nokatu's 'all business' approach caused Martha to pause for a moment to evaluate her options. She didn't want to upset him or cause offense.
"You're looking for paid employment, sir?" she asks. Already wondering what work she could possibly recommend, if any.
"I only believe it would be beneficial to have a source of income. I would prefer it if I could find someone to support my artistic endeavors, however. Have I mentioned that I was a craftsman? I am moderately skilled in the carving and shaping of wood."
Notaku smiled, as it did bring him joy to pursue art, and it was even holy amongst those who followed the crone.
