The last customer leaves.

A few minutes after closing, the cashier moves around the counter to lock the door. Then she disappears in the back.

Nearly half an hour passes before she reappears; hair slightly mussed, and face flushed. The next hour is spent tidying the shop. Product is restocked and straightened. Counters wiped. Trays are pulled out of the display case and disappear into the back of the store.

Nearly two hours from closing later, she disappears briefly in the back again, then returns carrying a small clutch.

She leaves, locking the front door behind her.

Jennifer is now alone in the front of the store, with a locked door behind her, and the door to the rear of the store in front of her.

It's an awfully clean store now.

Jennifer surveyed the clean store for a moment, listening to the store. There was someone who had mused the cashier's hair back there. Waiting by the doorway had netted nothing to be overheard. Yet the pressing fact of the Cloak was that interacting with the store overtly would shred the Cloak, revealing her presence. Accessing the back door would be a goal, but Jennifer was patient.

The door was not open now and she was essentially trapped in the main store area. Jennifer decided to wait to see if the occupant would open the to move to the main room. An open door would be an open invitation for Jennifer to enter the room. Jennifer alloted fifteen minutes to wait for the door to open, remaining within arm's reach of the door.

Jennifer started studying the area by the door, the cashier and table area. Were there clipboards of paper lying about? Was there anything that looked out of place in a candy store? A set of keys would be helpful yet highly unlikely. Jennifer glances to the door regularly, hoping for an opportunity to present itself.

The door remains closed.

Yet, something is going on back there. Jennifer can smell things being heated. Warm, chocolatey things. A faint odor of scorched milk.

The register and counter are spotless​. That girl is good at her job.

Jennifer moves closer to the door, leaning an ear close the door but not touching it. All of her previous attempts to overhear anything of use has failed. There is nothing of use on the illegal drug trade out here. Likely to keep it out of prying hands. Which means that Jennifer will have to move into this back room somehow. The thought of losing her anonymity was a startling thought. Was the doctor in reality the cook for the candy shop
? Were drugs being secreted into these packages?

Jennifer reminded herself that as alone as she felt in this room, she was in fact, not alone. The Ventrue and her Brother were close by, awaiting her signal for assistance. Jennifer attempts to decide if there is one person or more than one in the room by listening for snatches of conversation.

Peter walks. And walks.

With the freeway overpass, it's easy to stay hidden.

Half a mile later, he looks at... trains. Cargo container cars, to be exact.

Jennifer crouches down by door, hoping hat if someone were to look at the door, it would be at head level. The Nosferatu drew on her past experiences in moving stealthily to reach up and grip the door handle. She carefully turns the handle and tries to evenly disperse her weight as she tries to move into the room unnoticed by the chocolate aficionado. The woman moves as quietly as she can, remaining low as she moves into the room. If she was not already seen or being approached, Jennifer would tug on her favorite shawl of the Cloak of Obfuscate.

As Peter begins the Long Walk Back, @August Galloway notices a van approaching. It's distinctive because it's identical to the van already parked behind the shop. Same garish vinyl wrap, same make, same model. It bounces and scratches it's tires on the poorly kept side street and back parking lot.

Inside, Jennifer opens the door.

There's a man inside, standing beside a large copper mixing bowl, with a large spoon. He looks up in surprise.

Jennifer will need to Roll Initiative following opening the door.
The Cloak Activation will have to take place in the Init roster.
