(C Tears) Dip It In A Dream

Jennifer circles the factory at the street level for a moment longer, annoyed that a less obvious exit route was not apparent. While standing in the shadows of the street, Jennifer tugs her Cloak tighter. The brunnette moves onto the main walkway in front of the store and watches for an opportune moment to slip inside. While waiting, she scans the business hours sign to determine how much time she may have to poke around inside. When the moment presents itself, Jennifer steps inside the Factory. She remains on the outskirts of the room, trusting the Cloak to suggest that people move around her. She checks the face of the cashier or any one who seems to work for the store, intent on trying to discover more later. She also looks about for any hand offs that may occur in the store front.

The Nosferatu is vigilant as she scans the store, watching for people that reminded her of Carlos. She doubted that any suppliers or enforcers would be obvious in their identities and chooses to watch the visitors of the shop closely. How would the evening play out...

The store's hours are 10a - 9p. To make life easier on everyone, feel free to declare the time.

A few people wander in and out. The store isn't busy by any means. A glass case lines the front of the shop with confectionary delights. Chocolate covered strawberries, slices of fudge, chunks of chocolate, dipped apples, and various other assorted goodies. Two sets of shelves run the length of the shop, covered with candies and other oddities: coffee cups, coasters, herbal remedies, and flavored teas and coffees.

An attractive brunette works the counter. Behind her is a large marble table, and a wide door which leads to the rear of the store. Every now and then the window set in the door darkens with movement.

Jennifer watches, and watches -- but sees nothing suspicious.

Lets say its 8:45 P.M.

Jennifer remains still and watches the movement of the customers. Perhaps the store hours were honestly for people with a sweet tooth. Jennifer lifts her eyes, scanning for any signs of cameras. Were there excessive security features on the door? Was it wooden or steel? Jennifer glances to the doorway and back to the attractive brunette. The brunette is watched for a few moments and Jennifer steps into a position where she can see the doorway and not stand in a main walkway. With the store closing soon, perhaps she can get a look at upper management. It was likely one of these who was laundering money or running the drug dealing business. Jennifer watches patiently. She would spend the next 15 minutes looking for people exiting the back room. Jennifer is not looking to be discovered through impatience. Although innocently standing in the main shop room wouldn't do much in the way of throwing her off, she preferred to not be a smear on video footage.

There's a single camera in the store. It's mounted on the wall behind the register, and pointed at the counter. Clearly, a theft deterrent as much by it's presence as any actual value. There's a narrow lane between the glass counter and wall on one side -- no doubt for employees to tidy the shelves and clean the shop up.

The counter attendant is cheerful and bubbly -- and has killer legs.

No one appears from the back, and slowly customers filter out. The increased foot traffic outside indicates that all the shops keep similar hours, and it's That Time.

Within minutes, the store will be closed.

There's one customer left. They're not doing anything suspicious, but it will probably be Jennifer's last chance to slip out of the store while Cloaked, if she wants to do so.

The cameras have the same vulnerability most do...

...they don't cover the roof.

August sat in his car...and sat....and sat some bloody more. He quietly pulled out his tobacco pipe, watching all the nothing interesting pass on before him, stoic in his thoughts. If nothing was to be going on, then so be it. August could indulge a bit of quiet meditation. Not on the old customs of the Lancea Sanctum, but on the new things he had been learning in the Invictus. Clearly they viewed themselves as Gods of a sort. He could only to easily imagine his fellow First Estate cousins praying to themselves for themselves...it was a stark contrast to the pain of the Spear. The dedication to Damnation, rather than temporal wealth...He felt more relaxed, more in his element than he had in years. But it left him with many questions.

Finding his matches he pulled one out, and stared at it, his mind remembering the Cigarette. He struck the match, the Demon howled momentarily before August kicked the cage door and inhaled the smell of sulfur before puffing on his cherry tobacco pipe. After which he then tossed the match out the window watching its flame extinguish. An apt metaphor, thought the Ventrue Priscus. He needed to pay a visit to Carlos sometime soon...

Jennifer looked at the last customer in the shop. This average customer who was not doing anything suspicious caused Jennifer to consider cutting her losses. It was very mundane, this shop. Perhaps she was wasting vauluable time. Yet Jennifer's eyes studied the room for a moment and her eyes went back to that back room that no one had departed from. Jennifer tugged the Cloak more securely about her, ensuring that she was hidden and pledged to settle in for the long haul.

As the shop is losing it's distractions, Jennifer looks to this back door. She is certain that if evidence of nefarious activities is in this store, it is likely back there. Why risk the average employee stumbling across something that they shouldn't have? Jennifer moves closer to the door and carefully resigns from touching or interacting with anything that would endanger her Cloak. The Nosferatu listens carefully to the store; hoping to begin the real work of the evening.
