The simple fact of the matter was that the day was entirely too hot for formality. Well, that'd be her excuse if it were important.... well no, she'd cave in to the social decorum if it were truly important. But introducing a new prospective 'coworker' to a very hot city was an excellent opportunity to not sweat to death. And she kept forgetting to ask if anyone could show her how to take the edge off of these sunny days.

So she left her blazer behind, instead simply wearing a teal blouse with the steel grey pencil skirt and the sunglasses that were a medical necessity when the big bright obnoxious neighbor of the earth insisted on being so ... visible. Blotting out the sun is villain talk... you may not scheme to blot out the fucking sun...

But she was poised, and prepared, and entirely ready for whatever was about to happen, though she did hold on to them hope that this was indeed just a friendly lunch. With someone she'd never met before who had magical powers. Well, the Ladder seemed to think this person was worth it, so she figured she'd just bring lethal safety precautions in case everyone was wrong.
