Hunting: 1suxx
Stirred by the sudden commotion of voices Velma shakes her head and tries to regain her repose.
She looks to the side and her latest meal was resting peacefully.
That was good.
When she hears the slamming against the wall she shrugs… back in the day when the songstress could still breathe such incidents were no incidents at all.
But when the silence settles she knows someone has been too reckless… and someone has probably fell victim to abuse.
Maybe it was a shred of humanity that impelled her to move up from her bed, maybe it was the opportunity to blackmail someone important.
The succubus dons her underwear, she calmly rolls her stockings up and adjusts her bra, she grabs the red dress laying on the floor and dresses it and then gets her small feet on her red high heel shoes.
She curses internally not having brought her snickers… somehow the succubus knows she is going to regret that.
Noticing the silence hadn’t been lifted she grabs her purse and prepares to leave, card in hand in case she needs to return and a farewell note to her friend laying on the bed.
I will miss you!
V and a mark of a kiss in red lipstick.
Then she finds herself in front of the door to the adjoining room.
Knock Knock Knock
If it was possible to communicate trust and control by knocking at someone’s door Velma had certainly just made it.

Velma, even standing at her side of the door, can immediately smell fresh blood in the air...the rancid scent of fear...the sound of panicked and furtive movement.
The silence following her knocking speaks volumes.

Velma heard the footsteps. She smelled the blood to.
A million scenarios flashed in her mind as she begun to think on her feet.
She could lock pick the door but that would make the panicked man more panicked, and panicked kine only do stupid things.
The succubus decided to give empathy a second chance.
She grabbed a piece of paper from a small notebook in her purse and a pen and wrote:
Hello,
I can help.
=)
Deftly she sent the paper under the door and knocked twice again. This time less audibly. She was sharing a secret with whoever was on the other side of the door.

The note disappears under the door and there's a long pause.
The stench of blood quickly begins to turn sour and the scent of fear rises.
Slowly the door opens and distraught looking man...probably in his early fifties, appears at the three inches of space he's made at the door. Wide eyed...sweating...face smeared from a small spattering of blood...he studies Velma with the eyes of a hunted deer.
Pale and bewildered, he stammers; "Who...who...are you?"

”I’m V.” The Ravager whispers.
”I can help.” Velma cleans something in her own face where the spats of blood would be in the man’s face, clearly indicating something was not entirelly clean and washed out.
”I’m here to make sure everything ends well for you.” The Succubus flashes an empathetic smile without ever making any sudden moves to scare the man away. Her hands are open and welcoming and her eyes remain peacefully placed in the subject’s face while he decides if he is going to let her in or not.

Velma can almost see the pale and puzzled man making mental calculations. His hand follows the mimed advice from V and wipes at his face, smearing more of the blood.
"I...I see..." he nods and, seeming to take some confidence from Velma's offer of help, slowly steps aside to let Velma inside.
Velma's vampiric sense instantly detect the heavy smell of physical violence and blood in the air.
The man is dressed in classy pajamas. The luxurious suite matches Velma's, though here blood spatters break up the subtle use of pastel mint hues.
The corpse of a lady lays face down across the kingsize bed.
She was probably in her 30's. Now she's almost naked and blood is soaking into the bedlinen from a large and deep gash in her head.
Stockings. Garters and other clothes and personal items lay about the room. A chair is knocked over. A lamp standard rests askew against the wall. Clearly a terrible struggle occurred.

As soon as the Ravager gets inside the room she closes the door.
After making a swift assessment of the current situation Velma tries not to shake her head. She wasn’t quite sure she could help the man.
The succubus picks up the note she had sent under the door and shoves it into her purse. Then she moves slowly around the bed trying to notice any details, the songstress moves to the toilet to and once she is satisfied with what she sees she makes the inevitable observation.
“What a big mess…” Her deep blue eyes lock into those of the kine.
“So… you want my help right?” The Ravager allows a quiet grin to creep through her lips, extortion and blackmail was one of her specialties and this scene, this scene had plenty of ingredients for a good blackmail.

The man nods. In some odd way he seemed to somehow be okay with Velma's presence. Something seemed...right about it for him.
"Y...yes..." he stammered. He was trying to regain composure. But, whatever adrenaline was powering his earlier rage was now wearing off. His hands were shaking.
"It's...it's not what you might think.." despite his best efforts, his words carried no conviction.

Velma smiles, despite the scene around her and the dead body the succubus managed to smile. The kine was already apologizing, now she just needed to get him to talk and maybe she would be able to help him find some way out of this.
”Don’t worry, I will listen to all you have to say…” With that the succubus moves and urges the men to sit in the bed with his back turned to the body. She pulls a chair and sits near him.
”So… who are you, who is she and what were you doing here?” Some parts of her series of questions were quite obvious but he had said the words “its not what you might think..” so she better be sure.
