Invictus Meeting: the Lily

Olivette waited patiently downstairs at The Lily to show people to the conference room upstairs. She fervently hoped the masked freak would remember to use the back door. Although she had infinite amounts of patience, having to tell him for the third time wouldn't sit well with her Regnant.

Asa waited upstairs, having decided The Lily was the most convenient location. He wasn't sure if Ishani would be coming, all things considered, but enough time had passed that it was appropriate to inform the covenant of their decision. He thumbed through his phone, reading recaps of the weekend's games.

Warden Ith Lazarus arrives in his old town car driven by his ghoul Harold Smith. Remembering to use the backdoor as instructed last time, he came around back and entered through that way. Harold was instructed to find somewhere to park until paged for a ride. Being instructed to head upstairs, Lazarus did as he was told and headed upstairs out of sight from those who may see his horrifying appearance.

Entering the room and seeing Prince Clarke, Lazarus bows slightly as a sign of respect and moves toward a seat at a distance from his superior. He was more than aware of the Nosferatu curse and did not want to offend with his potent odor.

"Alder Lord Judex Clarke, good evening." Although the doctor's voice was his typical raspy hiss, he spoke with a deliberate proper crispness.

Arthur Bard arrives early. This isn't a show of punctuality; he simply tends to be early to things whenever possible, and when being early wouldn't constitute a faux pas. He is dressed in a gray Armani suit, light blue dress shirt and a blue silk tie with silver embroidery forming abstract patterns. He carries a metal briefcase, which he opens for Olivette without being asked, taking out all of the contents and opening two hidden compartments to demonstrate he carries no weapons in the case.

Entering quietly, he bows upon seeing the Prince. "Alder Judex Clarke," he says. He nods also to Dr. Lazarus. Not knowing this other one, or his position, he bows fairly deeply to Lazarus, though not as far as he had to the Prince.

[Twist]

Twist paused outside the entrance to the Lilly to take an unneeded breath. She knew part of what was to come tonight and she was reluctant to see it carried out. Not only for position means, her chosen covenant loosing one of it's strongest members was something that should sit ill with many. But for personal reasons as well, how dare he leave her? And Ishani as well? It was a sting to her, saying she was perfect for a group that they no longer believed in.

Twist took another breath, reminding herself that that was not why they were leaving. It was to find answers. And even if she wasn't with them in the Invictus she knew she would not loose them elsewhere. In city affairs...and in private affairs.

Another breath and she pushed open the doors and entered the Lily, self assured confidence the only thing radiating from her. Her outfit was a classicly cut female suit. Crimson skirt and jacket with a black silk blouse. Heels and hose in black. Simple gold jewlery to accentuate, her hair tucked into a gold mesh net.

[Regina Pia]

Regina entered the Lily dressed in a suspiciously un-ostentatious outfit, carrying a large bag that would have clanked, had she been capable of making a false step.

When she arrived outside of the room that the meeting was to be held in, she found a private area to change, adding her chainmail and fighting trousers over the boring shirt and shorts. On the chainmail vest was a single medal pinned to it, a bloody teardrop (survivor of a nearly destroyed cell). She then entered the room with the others, Nami announcing her.
"Lady Knight Regina Pia." Nami said, and then left, carrying the empty bag.

Regina curtsied to all present, and then gave a second, additional curtsy to the prince, much lower than before "Good eve, Alder Judex". Lady Twist, Mister Lazarus. And a new face. Her hair is done up, in the old style, with gold rings and a few silver pendants. Let it not be said that the Invictus were poor. She is without her swords.

Asa greeted each as they entered; Mister Lazarus, Master Bard, Lady Twist, and Lady Pia. Steele's introduction of his Childe suggested he had not been Released yet, and Asa thought a possible mis-title was the lesser of evils, compared to asking such a question in front of the others.

He gave Twist a nod, pleased to see by her demeanor that she wasn't upset about the turn of events, and mildly surprised at her business-like attire versus the evening dress she had worn before. Then again, she was one of the few people that could surprise him.

There were still several to arrive, and Asa sat. "Did everyone enjoy Court?" he asked with a smile, to break the ice.

Arthur Bard replies, with a smile, "A thousand pardons,Alder Judex Clarke, but I am now Mister Bard. My period of apprenticeship ended with my being sent here, and my Sire has seen fit to have me now seek my own way, though of course I plan to do so within the First Estate."

And when the topic changes, he says "I did enjoy Court very much, thank you."

Sabri hated the cab drivers of this city and mentally wonders the possibility of starting a fresh venture outside of the demands of being a hotelier. Smirking at the possibility, she enters the Lily and greets Miss Angeline before moving through to where the meeting was to be held, greeting everyone currently present appropriately and apologizing for being late, each word spoken with an unusual tone of lightness. It could almost be said Sabri, hidden behind her sari's matching veil, was content with something, her mood upbeat.

Aimée entered the Lily and let Olivette lead her to the meeting room; she was dressed in an dark blue skirt and blouse, which gave her a serious yet attractive outfit.

The woman beneath this outfit, however was a whole different story: she was looking at her feet as soon as she entered the room; those other kindrer were much more successful than her, there was no denying it. What had she accomplished since she moved here?
Nothing, that's what. She made her way to the prince, careful to make no eye contact with anyone on her way, always just muttering a weak "Good evening.", adding the title and bowing her head even deeper than it already was when she passed someone.
When she reached Asa, she bowed again, this time almost deep enough to look ridiculous, and this made her mad at herself. Good evening, Alder Lord Judex Clarke." She said, before she stepped back a bit to make room for other Invictus members.

With a snarl, he reached out and grabbed her hair, yanking down sharply to force her to her knees.
