(On Patrol) Discovery Park

The warm night air was illuminated by a sliver of Moon. The paths of Discovery were quiet...but not silent.

Just outside the Downtown area there's 302 acres and part of a paved 32 mile long bike trail that ends way off over in Folsom.

There was a lot to make sure all was safe.

The cold waters at the confluence of the Sacramento and American Rivers slid by the Park.

Several vehicles were left in the car park.

It's certainly possible that @Catherine may find herself running away from the Priest in this Park...

Any Deputy, Ranger of Bailiff care to join the thread too?

Catherine was still running, she could feel the press of the fear still hot on the back of her neck. That damn priest was following her, she knew it.

What type of person even did that?

Did she care so much.

Every instinct -- every cell -- every drop of vitae in her body had been handed over to the Beast as it urged her body to run -- to hide.

And so she was still running as far away from that damn gazebo as her feet could carry her. The fear was only starting to subside, perhaps by now she was far enough away.

It isn't as though the Reeve, Dillon Connery, doesn't trust Ranger Griffiths to patrol Sacramento's parks and wildlife areas. But they are both Gangrel. This element holds a special pull to them both. And besides, Zach is just one Kindred. There is enough park to go around.

Plenty of grass and trees for everyone to patrol looking for signs of dissidents and security breaches.

Just as Dillon thinks he is getting his fill, and as he gets that itch that he should maybe call Martha and make sure that she is alright, doesn't need to be driven anywhere, and et cetera... he hears the sound of running feet. Pumping furiously, and quickly...

...and heading straight for him.

Senses alert, the Gangrel drops his center of gravity. He prepares to attempt to capture the woman if she makes to alter her course.

Catherine needs to roll for Anger Frenzy for being attacked/restrained.

Her Vitae should be at 0 after running out being used on Celerity -- or Dillon should still be in pursuit of a blur.

Without retconning, we can only assume it's at 0 and the Starving penalty needs to be assessed on the Frenzy roll and signature line updated.

Catherine felt the arms close in around her, And she could feel the blind rage starting to form into her mind as the one track turned from ‘run away from that asshole’ to ‘move this one out of the way’.

Her fangs slid into her mouth easily as she writhed for some form of purchase on the man holding her. She could feel his beast, but she didn’t care if she knew the Man, she was no longer in the driver’s seat. The Serpent had taken over.

She was giving a low growl in tandem with the hiss she would normally hear in her ears.

The Serpent was hungry and afraid and angry. There was no way she wasn’t going to go down without a fight.

Calm was not an option. She wanted to go home and hide, and he was denying her that, for that he must pay.

I included the second round’s Frenzy resist roll above, and Catherine is grappled. Even with the +1 it's a chance die for me to Bite Dillon, so if she shouldn't have it yet, the numbers don't change.

I hope this is good enough.

Dillon is just too quick for a man his size. It's as simple as that.

Realizing that the woman is obviously an out of control Kindred, his hooking grip around her middle becomes a wrap around her upper arms with just a few skillful parries of his forearms. His knee slips behind hers to avoid the possibility of a shot to the groin. Given the tattered state of her attire, he regrets the very ungentlemanly necessity to pull her close to him, where she can't risk injuring either of them.

Maybe it's the glint of the silver necklace while he uses his chin and shoulder to help control her head... but for whatever reason, it is around this time that he recognizes her.

"Handcuffs!" He replies to the arriving Daymian. "Jacket pocket!"

Though Dillon is wary that the sudden appearance of another Kindred might very well be the explanation for Catherine's situation, he will take the help, for now.
