Tug pulls his Escalade, Lady, up at Dagwoods and waits for Orphan and Teegan to park and get out before going inside. He idly wonders how he'll approach the bum who had the books, assuming they found him. 'Hey, little buddy. Ya' hungry? See what I got here? Lemme see those books. Lemme see those books. Aw, there's a good boy, then.'...eh, maybe I'll get Fate to help me out.

As he gets out, Orphan muses out loud, "I wonder what's the best choice of sandwich to offer an unknown, probably-homeless guy. Something simple like ham and cheese, maybe... but what if he's Jewish, or Muslim?"

Teegan parks her Explorer in a spot near one of the restaurant's windows since she's be leaving it for awhile and gets out. Looking around she can see that Tug and Orphan are already here, had she really gotten that bad at driving around her own home town or was it those citizen friendly GPS units they had? She walked toward the shop, is Orphan talking to himself? She met them at the door as they entered and gave them both a greeting even though they just saw each other at the gas station.

Tug greets them both and laughs at Orphan's musings. "Dude, beggars can't be choosers," he says, and resumes snickering at the cliche'. "Let's just go in and take a look at the menu, maybe they'll have something appetizing and appealing to all nations and creeds." Tug's big belly rumbles. It was time for an afternoon snack, certainly.

"Sure," Orphan says. "I suppose roast beef is safe. Unless he's a vegetarian, but it's hard to imagine a homeless guy being that kind of picky."

Orphan orders turkey, ham and swiss on rye, with tomato, lettuce and dijon mustard, plus an iced tea. He gets a roast beef sub and a Diet Coke to go for the guy they plan to talk to. He chooses a booth or table that is set far back and provides a view of entrances and exits.

Teegan orders a roast beef, turkey and ham with the whole garden on it, light on the oil and vinegar. She grabs some chips and a drink, pays, joins Orphan at his table and starts eating. She puts away the first half of the sandwich pretty fast, its remarkable that she stays so fit eating like that. Between swallows she asks Orphan, "so, whats all this about homeless guys? He like bought some books you wanted or something?"

Tug gets a BLT, heavy on the B, light on the L and T and a soda. He sits down next to Teegan, and goes ahead and answers her question for Orphan, since he answered that question at the gas station, in a hushed voice. "Dunno yet. Orphan found some empty places on the shelves of that bookstore highlighted by Fate. Clerk told him they were bought by a homeless guy. We're gonna find 'em, find out why Fate thinks he's important." Then he he takes a large bite of his bacon sandwich.

Teegan rolls her eyes at herself, "oh yeah, right..." She mumbles, her mind was elsewhere today and she already had forgotten the whole story. She wanted to change the subject from serious stuff, "so, uh, why was that guy at the shop all over you? You used to play football right?"
