Charity Street Dance and Bike Show

Flyers have been posted and adds have been raised. The Crusaders MC and Prophecy Motorcycles are hosting a street dance, local musicians and food all to raise money for local charity. So with proper permits filed and all that, the North 11th Street Cul De Sac and the lot next to it is set up for a real live outdoor party.

A stage is erected and some good music is playing, some local food carts are set up in the lot and people are milling about. The stage is at the back of the Cul De Sac and bikes are all lined up in front of the stage and along the side of the building. A SCMC Banner is hung leaving no doubt who the host of this party is.

Digger makes his way up onto the stage, "Thanks everyone for coming to support the Sacramento Make-A-Wish and Canines for Disabled Kids. All of these groups that play here and all of these businesses that are out here are donating there time. All profits will go to these charities including any bike sales so if you're looking for ride let me know and my people and I will be happy to help you out." Not exactly the most inspiring of speeches, but digger wasn't really used to having to rally people unless they were going to war.

John Holt, a member of the Crusaders MC and also a trained member of the Sac PD chaplaincy, stood near to Digger as he welcomed everyone to the street dance, a content smile on his face. He wore his customary black shirt and pants with his white dog-collar, and, naturally, his Crusaders vest over-the-top with his Vice President badge on full display, a fact he was proud of.

He'd been looking forward to the party, and hoped it brought a sense of community to the local area, and would give John a chance to meet and greet with local officials, and perhaps a chance to strengthen the Herd.

It would also give him a chance to show off his new trike, which gleamed nearby. As Digger finished his speech, John stepped closer to his President. "Well done, Digger. Today will be a success, I'm sure."

All L’aire needed to see on a flyer she saw less than a week ago was dance and she was in. The bike thing…eh, that only gave her a direction of what not to wear. This wasn’t going to be super classy or a ball, which was good because she could really didn't want to wear a gown with the summer heat still upon them. The Winter Dancer debated on hardening her mask for the outing...still she did it anyway. One never knew who may be watching.

The Winter Fairest didn’t know her way around Sacramento very well, and still relied on a map. When she figured out where Prophecy Cycles was, she realized it wasn’t far from the Four Seasons. That was convenient as far as land marks she knew. Since it was still relatively warm outside, she wore jeans, flats and a teal tank top blouse.

As she walked up to the area where everything was set up, she heard part of some announcement. She at least knew by the fliers that it was for Make-a-Wish, which was a touching thing to do. The Dancer began to walk along where the bikes were lined up. She smirked as she thought back to the only equivalent she’d ever been on… a moped. The Fairest hadn't really been to a bike shop before as it was. It'd also been ages since she had gone to a street dance, as far back as when she was a child. So she hoped tonight's outing would be fun... and hopefully people would be dancing.

Allison has a special place in her heart for charities, plus the last time she was around so many bikers was during Bike Week in Daytona. Her favorite memory is the girls on the back of the bike trying to bite the hotdog on a string as they drove past...Just too flippin hilarious, but she doubts that she is going to see that here, but she keeps her fingers crossed.

Allison meanders about slowly, doing her best to take in the sights and sounds. Curiosity strikes her as she wonders who all she may see show out. These gatherings always seem to attract interesting characters, and she doubts this will be an exception.

Allison dresses rather casual for the affair, choosing a outfit that does not make her stand out too much and that will be easy enough to dance in...when the need arises. All in all tonight is about fun, and trying to help out.

Allison catches part of the annoucnement, but could not really make it out. Part of her is too busy people-watching, but she knew exactly what this is all for, and she could not help but think highly of the people who threw this together.

Find them before the end of the night to tell them kudos...

Prophecy Motorcycles was not a place that Doctor Powell would usually venture into. She tended not to think twice about motorcycles; she had a car that was suitable enough to get to-and-fro whenever she needed to, and though the Haunt could appreciate the vast changes in motorised vehicles in her lifetime, it was not a thing she held too much fascination for. But it was a charity venture, and the idea behind the fundraiser was pleasantly unique.

And there would be dancing. That part, the Haunt still considered a stumbling block, but she was not a woman who gave up easily. Particularly when it was herself in the way of progress. Learning to waltz had not gone too well, but then it was rather difficult to practice such a dance with only herself and the basement beneath her Haven...

The saving grace here was that, presumably, many people would show. The Haunt could observe modern dancing techniques, potentially attempt a few steps herself and be unconcerned of anyone spotting a faux pas. From what she had learnt of street dances; jostling and lack of elbow room was the order of the day, not perfection. But whether she stepped on anyone's toes or managed to actually maintain a little rhythm, the good Doctor would still look good while doing it. The outfit was, for her, dressing down some. But even a business-minded Kindred had to shed the suits sometimes.

Josephine listened the announcement, and stepped a little deeper inside to observe the people who had already arrived.

Sin stood near the food carts, hands in the pockets of his jeans as he listened to the music and watched people mill about. Digger'd asked him to come out and support the cause. And he would. Make-a-Wish was a good organization, and they were worth supporting. And Canines, well... he smirked at the joke, even if it was only in his head.

*Ciara wasn't usually one for motorcycles, but she never turned down a chance to help local charities. And more importantly, she never turned down an opportunity to be seen helping local charities. So, the usually Posh Ventrue finds herself milling about the various bikes on display, giving them her undivided attention for a while.

She couldn't help but wonder what a certain Gangrel acquaintance of her's would have though of the machines; Ciara could have used an expert opinion on things if she decided to actually bid when the time came. Still, she had her own tastes in design; and was more than capable of finding a bike that caught her eye.

And so, the tall Ventrue found herself spending the opening moments of the night's festivities wandering slowly from bike to bike, enjoying the chance to look over each machine; giggling softly to herself as she felt the tight leather vest moving with her every motion. Half the fun of tonight was getting a chance to wear something new. It's not like she would have fit in wearing something from Prada to an event like this...*

Skaald had shown up early to the event dressed in his leather boots, pants, and Crusaders jacket complete with the word "Prospect" scrawled across the back. It was something Digger wanted to do, and that alone would be enough to get him to assist. Add to that good food, good drink, and the sheer mass of humanity, and he was sold from the start. Not to mention the women. Damn, I definitely need to get out more.

Skaald stands off to one side with his arms folded and takes in the sights, sounds, and smells of the evening with a large, feral smile. He watches as people mill around, eating, talking, and looking at the bikes. After Digger leaves the stage he flashes him a grin and a quick nod. This is good. He glances back to the stage where the musicians are playing. Yet another thing I need to spend more time on. Maybe even start a band at some point. I wonder if Digger'd let me jump up there later.

Then he uncrosses his arms and strides across the area, like a predatory cat stalking prey. There were so many to choose from. The girl wearing the leather that had a certain quality to her you just didn't see in most Americans was intriguing, of course. And then there was that blonde girl, gorgeous and graceful. But Skaald had his sights on the drop-dead gorgeous brunette who not only drew the eye, but kept it seemingly effortlessly.

Skaald approaches Allison Black with a swagger to his step and a gleam in his eye. His smile is equal parts friendly and feral. "Evening. You here for the bikes, the dancing, or the kids?"

"Yeah hopefully. Its my first go at this whole community shit. So hopefully things go well. And we sell a couple bikes." Digger watched as people mingled about. Sin was here, Skaald was here, Dale would be along. The Alpha wondered if the new blood would be showing up.

"Look at fucking Skaald moving in and making his move." Digger laughed as he took a drink out of his bottle. "Damn... there are some good looking ladies out today." Digger says quietly as he takes out a cigarette and lights it.

John chuckled and watched as Skaald moved towards the striking brunette but even though her beauty, along with a majority of the women in attendance, he could appreciate, he had taken a vow a long time ago, and wasn't going to break it quite yet.

"He certainly is starting early," Chaplain replied, scanning his eyes over the crowd. "Why, not jealous are you, Digger?" he said with another chuckle.
