Cautious for eavesdroppers, Alice makes her call to Mr. Clarke's office. She's not sure who she's going to speak to. Would Asa Clarke answer himself?
After a single ring, a voice that Alice might recognize as Nika's answers.
"Good evening, Mr. Clarke's office."
'Good evening, this is Madam Alice Brown. A problem has occurred in one of Mr. Clarke's establishments, the Reverence.'
Alice pauses a moment to think, then continues, not entirely sure how to handle this. 'Are you familiar enough with the Club, or could you direct me to Mr. Clarke?'
"Please hold," Nika answered a moment later.
There was a soft rustle, then Asa's voice.
"Good evening, Madam Brown It's always a pleasure to hear from you, but Nika said this sounded like a business call."
'Ah Mr. Clarke!' Alice is obviously delighted to hear his voice, 'I'm afraid I call for business indeed.'
A moment she smiles, what of course couldn't be seen, but then she continues, 'There has been a small problem with some people in your Club, the Reverence. I actually wish to see the camera tapes there, but of course, I don't have any authority in this establishment.'
There was a pause, and the slightest buzz of soft, muffled voices.
"Miss Crassus will be there shortly to assist you," Asa replied.
'Thank you Mr. Clarke, that is greatly appreciated.'
"Of course, Madam Brown," Asa replied.
"I wish you well with your business endeavors, take care of yourself."
'I will Mr. Clarke, I will. Thank you.' In the second of silence Alice realizes she shouldn't smile too broad in the gothic club if she didn't want to draw too much attention.
Then, in a tone that finishes a call: 'Good evening Mr. Clarke.'
