They Say What could possibly be the rumors surrounding Earth, the little blue planet that seems to defy all the odds. It should have been conquered long ago by any number of races. So what do they say is about that planet?

Today's recommendatiosn are brought to you by the good folks at Different Enterprises, where regular stuff just doesn't cut it.
A Black Comedy The original "Harry Follows Sirius into the Veil" story. Full of hijinks and hilarity and a just darn good time.
Just Stay Here Tonight Lily Evans isn't a witch. This is her story of 1979 to 1982.
Fractal Harry Potter has eyes that he inherits from his mother. Terrible eyes, cruel eeyes, eyes that can destroy men with a glance. And yet what price does that cost him? Borrows a bit from the Nasuverse and Narutoverse.
The Eye for an Eye A moody-centric one-shot that questions where exactly he got that eye from. Because the story behind it has to be awesome.
I just finished reading this one and liked it:
The Hill of Swords It's a Fate/Stay Night and Familiar of Zero crossover. Summary: When Louise Valliere performed her summons for her familiar, she certainly didn't expect for it to be a human! Strangely enough, the boy she summoned, Shirou Emiya, didn't expect to get summoned so soon. He hadn't even died yet!
So I've got another small slate to add:
The Game of Champions Red's journey. Completely and totally full of awesome, still being written.
Complete:
Swordsmen Kenshin X Highlander. Immortal Himura Kenshin in 1994 continues to live on as an immortal, but promises he made are going to run into conflict with his vow to never kill.
The Dragon King's Temple Also Floods Stargate SG1 X Avatar last airbender. Toph and Zuko centric, but the Gaang shows up in the third act. Borrows from Avacado Love's Rampage and Vathara's Embers, but is still its own unique story.
Here's something very light hearted and full of laughs.
444 Rumors & Myths of Amestris: It's got rumors and myths along with minor paragraph after each Myth or Rumor.
Here's an Alternate History story for Code Geass where he bows before the Emperor and thus not exiled: Lelouch of Britannia
There is in some parts of the internet *Cough* Dark Lord Potter *cough* a set of Potter Laws of fanfiction. In short a list of things for Harry Potter Fanfiction that, if followed, tend to result in pretty good fanfiction. This is the first law:
"I. Harry Potter. That’s all. If you don’t understand then you’re hopeless. Give up. Leave the fandom. And just incase you still don’t understand, Harry Potter is everything in this fandom. Treat him well (by mistreating him). Make him shine (by sticking him in the darkest, most woe-begotten situations you can imagine). Keep the Harry Potter, Harry Potter."
This fic breaks that rule entirely. Set in the late 16th century, it follows a young woman as she makes a name for herself as a thief taker, at a tumultuous time in wizard politics, all while having to deal with a most curious and lethal case. Its thematically Sherlock Holmes meets Harry Dresden in the 1600s. You'll recognize some family names, and some families will and will not surprise you.

This is fantastic. It will tug your heart, as it ignores Agents of SHIELD, and explores Phil's greatest passion.
31 Days of Scoobyween: It's just a collection of stories about them dressing up in different costumes.
The Familiars of Zero: Also a collection of stories. In this case a different what-if the Zero summoned <insert character here> each chapter.
Power of the One: A simple, but effective one-shot fic for an Alternate Universe version of Friendship is Magic centered around a Rule-63'd Twilight.
Trust me, even if that's not your thing, this is a great read. The story focuses on Celestia contemplating the decisions made by her student, and wondering over his destiny and the future of her land based on the path he's walked. A chilling and tragic "What-if?" story that reflects on how things could have been if Celestia had a student that was a bit more resistant to the idea of making friends.
