The Basement II

Daysha was really curious, she'd never heard of something asking for organs before among other things. "Mike, if you think it's something we should look into we can." She asked since she wasn't sure if he was still bothered by it. "I think it's worth looking into. Who knows if it shows up again."


"Insane, stupid, ridiculous, idiotic... I could go on." She breathed in definitely wanting a cigarette now. With one hand she reached to her opposite shoulder scratching the patch beneath her shirt, thinking it would actually do something. "Well, in your line of work isn't that grounds for getting tossed out? Hell, I've seen cases worse than Lexi. Some of them have committed insane crimes on the shit and blame it all on the drugs. But the subconscious is an interesting thing... telling us to do insane things when we're not exactly sane."

"I do. I just have no idea how to start. Or where. Research isn't exactly my strong point," Mike admitted, his expression earnest. "So far, I've mostly run into things by accident, trial and error. Sometimes, I think I only spot them because I'm looking for them..." He paused. "And who knows who else it would have wanted to be."

"Yeah, it is grounds for getting tossed out, but people still do it. Trust me. A lot of Athletes hit the bottle pretty hard too, but at least that isn't illegal," the huge athlete added, and sighed. Like me. My name is Mike, and... I'm an alcoholic. Because I can't sleep otherwise.

"Still... the girl didn't seem glued together right. That uh... that thing she was saying about werewolves, that was... weird."

"Internet would be the only way to start I think. Crazy tales or weird occurrences. I think some guy was through here once who had a handle on blogging too." She rubbed her head trying to remember. "I could nose around at the precinct a little." Daysha strummed her fingers for a minute. "Someone may have turned up missing organs."

"No, but people get behind the wheel all the time when under the influence." She put her own hand up and quickly said. "I'm stopping there, or you're gonna hear a rant." She took a deep breath in and sighed. "I don't remember the werewolf thing from Lexi. Then again, it could be cause I thought she was rambling incoherently and tuned her out."

It's that mom thing...

"That's probably a good plan. Might take a while to sift out all the bullshit and porn," Mike joked. Ah, the internet. He didn't really get computers, but he absorbed popular culture enough. And sometimes read forums. "It'd be a pretty obvious tell, I guess... leaves and organs. Worth a shot."

"Yeah she uh... was going on about Wufflies or something. I don't know. In hindsight, she was probably off her head on something. I was just so worried about Rog, I wasn't really thinking about anyone else." He looked apologetic.

"Listen, I need to jet. Training in the morning. I'll see you around, Daysha."
