(1112) Christmas: Alice Brown and Dillon Connery

[Dillon Connery]

Dillon laughs at the comment on his Halloween Costume, looking away to shake his head in amusement. Since he is Blushing, he actually blushes. "It did kind of look like a space suit, didn't it? You know, maybe that's why I liked it.

"You were an adorable bunny, by the way." Careful not to look any lower than Alice's bare collarbone and throat as he says it, Dillon adds "And you make a very lovely present." He steals a few mischievous glances around the room at the others, edging a little closer to Alice in a silent invitation to spectate with him. His grin widens slightly as he spots Martha's hat bobbing through the crowd. As tall as he is, that's still all he can see. "Any idea who you might be for? I see that our assassin friends from Halloween are back." There were lots of pretty faces scattered among the Beasts, actually.

Her smile and the pair of eyes glowing with happiness were an obvious 'thanks' to the compliments. Alice looks around with him, but slightly exaggerates her disinterest. 'They've had their piece of Alice.' She shrugs. Mortals aren't really worth the time, and the excitement of a 'first time' is already gone.

'Noo...' Alice takes Dillon's jacket like a mother might make her child ready to go outside. She looks at him with a most playful expression. 'This present is for someone who worked really hard tonight, and didn't just come here for fun. Since it's no one's birthday I can only give a present as an expression of my appreciation.'

"Oh," Dillon says automatically, before he really gets it. "Oh!" His grin is suddenly at full cheese, but his eyes aren't brave enough to look up at first. When he does meet Alice's gaze, there's a bit of apology in his hazel eyes. "May I say 'I can't' without offending you, ma'am?"

The first reaction is that Alice arches her eyebrows. Did he just reject her, or a gift... however you wanted to see it. She childishly pouts and crosses her arms. 'That depends, I assume you have a very good reason.'

Her eyes glance around shortly, before she quickly adds, 'Which is not that you've fallen in love with our assassin guy.'

Dillon smiles slightly, looking down again. If Alice wanted to tease him about the assassin, she certainly had a right to. He looks up and across the crowd to the other group nearby, indicating Stefan in it with a nod. "No, no. As uh," ahem, "charming and handsome as he obviously is, he's no competition with you. I just don't know if it would be a good idea, even if we were just having a bit of fun." Dillon didn't know how serious Alice was, but he didn't want to insult her by insinuating that all she wanted was a fling. He didn't want to sound presumptuous by assuming she wanted more than that either, though.

"Especially what with our new responsibilities and all." Both of them being Deputies, that is. "Call me old fashioned. Let me make it up to you some other way, though. I can still be fun to hang out with." Dillon punctuates the sentence with a cheesy expression, which is pretty much his equivalent to the loveable puppy face.

A moment Alice looks at Dillon with a: What?! face. 'Rather old fashioned indeed.' A short but disappointed smile, she doesn't want to make too much fuss about this. Instead she grins thereafter and makes a nonchalant gesture with her hand. 'But I completely understand only women can do two things at a time, having new responsibilities and just having some fun.'

One thing might be clear, a Daeva doesn't give up. But a Duchagne, she takes what she wants. Although he has the good looks and thus deserves a warning.

Alice leans closer to whisper, her tone most playful and sexy. 'How do you wanna make it up to me then? Sounds interesting...but if not, we're on my turf here. Next time I'll make you love me.'
