Fetch Quest

The orange signs of the Public Storage place are visible from about a mile and a half out; it gives James and Dizzy plenty of opportunity to scope the place out on their approach:

The access road is quiet today, with Dizzy's bike the only traffic in sight at the moment. The lot is contained with a black, wrought iron fence about eight feel tall and tipped with tiny spikes. Looking between the rows, it looks like maybe eight, maybe ten people are in the lot right now--hiding stuff away in dark rooms so they have the space to go out and get more stuff.

The front of the complex is sealed up with an automated gate; an electronic keypad is set nearby so people can punch in their code. Which raises the question: how are these two getting in?

The bike purrs to a stop and Dizzy kills the engine, lifting his helmet's visor and turning to look at Merlin who was riding in the bitch seat.

"Hope you didn't puke back there," he joked. "Smell can be hell to get out."

James laughs. "With your driving I am suprised I didn't."

He looked up at the building. "I say we wait for someone to leave and slip in. Thoose people won't stay in there very long. They will dump their stuff and go."

Holding a bit because of baby excitement and FC had a question.

Dizzy nodded. It seemed like a simple plan and Dizzy liked simple. It made life so much easier. "Sounds good, just act natural and smile."

The two men wait. And wait. Aaaand wait. Although there is a (obvious) camera aimed at the gate area, it doesn't look like they're caught in the field of vision. Coupled with the relative lack of traffic on the road behind them means the two men are, at least, not in danger of being spotted.

After nearly ten minutes a van pulls up and slows at the gate, pausing there as the driver leans out of his window to punch in the access code. With a crunch and a whir, the gate begins to wheel itself open.

Merlin quickly steps behind the van and follows it into the compound.

Standing by the bike, Dizzy was happy to wait. In their game, patience was a virtue 'cos sometimes when shit hits the fan, it was always nice to look back and think, "I thought it was the best time."

The van arrived. The driver punched in the code. Dizzy followed behind the open gate.

"Come on, let's find Mr. Hanford's storage," Dizzy says to Merlin, flashing a smile his way.

It's not hard to find: the complex is big but everything is labelled, and it's easy enough to track down which storage huts belong to Hanford. According to the paper Harry gave them, Hanford rents out four of the storerooms; they're all massed together in a corner of the complex.

Now the question: anybody have a key to get in?
