Continued from here...

It takes a while, but eventually Jacob can't feel the press of Jillian's Beast approaching. Outpacing her is easy, it's just the damn bitch is persistent.

For her part, Jillian swims out of the murky, sticky red haze of Frenzy to find herself tearing through the cold, dead growth along the river. Why's she running? Then she remembers the approaching Beast, and notices her Claws are out...

...and bloody. The blood drips as the Claws slowly sink back into white-cold pink fingers.

Behind her, the soft glow of Squattaville's fires are a couple of miles away.

This is a new Scene, and linked. Please note consumables, and all Scene abilities (Vigor, Resilience, Claws, etc. are reset). Ajax is free to pursue Jillian and narrate himself in.

Relieved that it's all over, Jacob decides he's gonna head toward what he figures (from the lights in various directions anyway) is the city centre. Hopefully he'll be able to find some more civilised Kindred who won't try to rip him a new asshole.

With that, he begins walking.

Jilliian's Stats are in her mini-sheet. And should be updated.

As Jillian comes too she feels cold and tired. Yes Vampires can be tired but more then anything its because they are f*cking hungry. And Jillian, more then anything, was god damned hungry.

Jillian looked around, and looked around, and looked around, and looked around scavanging for anything she could get some precious precious blood from. Jillian hated the barrens, they were picked fucking clean and finding something that could do her any good was few and far between.

Jillian had no idea where Ajax was, and no idea where that newbie was, and no idea what happened at the Squatsville and didn't honestly care. Right now all she cared about was quenching that thirst that does not go away. that ever present beast within her. That everpresent need. And no not the one where she wants to get f*cked. Its the one where she needs to eat. However a good f*cking would do her some good too probably.

Ajax had taken off after Jillian, trailing behind her in order to keep track of where she was going, feeling much better when he saw they really were deep in the barrens, just in case Jillian had caught up to the other vampire. He emerges into a bit of a clearing and sees his Priscus, looking messed up and confused.

"Jillian." There is a rather nasty claw wound on his left forearm.

Jill turns her head, and looks to Ajax, "Shit Ajax, that looks like hell..." Jill said looking to the wound on his arm. She had seen these wounds countless times before and she knew what it was. She also figured she new what caused it. "F*ckenA dude I am sorry." Jill said shaking her head in frustration with her actions. Jill Strips off her Hoodie and then her tank top, leaving her standing in her sports bra. She takes the tank top and rips a strip out of it and ties it around the haggard wound. Was she a nurse, hell no, but she did watch a couple episodes of ER. And at least this way the wound wouldn't be staring her in the face. Jillian pulls the hoodie on and zips it up. "Dude I am so sorry," She repeated, "I just lost it, between the newbie and fire, i couldn't keep it together."

Ajax was more than a little shocked with Jillian's first aid attempts, not shocked in a bad way, no not at all. It was nice to know that she cared and as a bonus there was the whole cleavage thing, which was a hell of a Christmas bonus. Still there were more pressing matters at hand, like the other vampire who still had to be somewhere around here. "Apology accepted .... and thanks." The tone of his voice is serious, meaning he's thanking her for the apology and the effort, and not for the show. Okay partly for the show but just a little bit.

"There wasn't much light other than the fires, which where at those Bums backs and killed their night vision since they were looking at 'em the whole damn night. All they saw was a girl chase a guy after a dude attempted to hold her back. We're clear on that end." He looked her in the eye, friend to friend, "We need to find this new guy and find out what his deal is and either take him out or take him in to the authorities. You pushed yourself pretty hard back there, you still got something left in the tank?"

"We can't leave this shit half done Ajax, not again. Those bastards know something." Jillian says, "They may be brood agents or god knows what else. But that guy baited me over the fire on purpose." Jillian had no idea if that were true or not but she had to protect her pride, what little of it was left after that debacle. "This is what we do. We find the new guy, we call Kat, Amos and Joe. Maybe we can get some backup. If not, well we are fucking Gangrel."

And hopefully I can keep my shit together...

"You read minds? I was just going to suggest something similar but we need to do this the right way, we find new guy and a call everybody we can count on. Going in half cocked again could get us killed, we get our people, come back tomorrow night as soon as we've fed and recon this place. Find out want the fuck is going on and end it. But right now we've got a loose end somewhere around here, we need to find that guy." Ajax begins to look for a sign of where the new comer had run off to, something they could use to find him, from the pull of the guy's beast, a broken tree branch or a shoe print.
