Amber Hills Asylum.

In better days, a bastion of hope and good intentions.

Not these days... at least, not underneath the buffed floors and starched white uniforms. Everyone now and then, someone is released; cured, at least of what they went in for. The night terrors follow them. Most patients remain, and their increasingly skittish mannerisms and frantic eye jerks are chalked up to degenerative conditions.

Well, the degenerate part is right.

The Royal Hound sketches out what she remembers of the facility, aided by the Seneschal, and the group approaches. A ten foot tall fence lines the perimeter, with a single access point at the front. Broad swaths of light cut through the darkness from rotating beacons, occasionally spotlighting guards with dogs.

This Scene is Linked; all pools remain as they were in Trail. It can be assumed that clothing and gear could be changed/acquired before arrival.

I consider the group to be a ways down the road, outside of view of the checkpoint; feel free to begin.

[Twist]

An unfamiliar vehicle pulls up next to Conner's, but any alarm at such is alleviated as the petite form of Twist steps out. But something has changed... her attire is the same so that can't be it. Dark slacks, dark long sleeve turtleneck, a black leather jacket unzipped and heavy duty boots that added a good 2 inches to her height. From one hand dangled a black full face mask, unadorned and found in most craft stores.

Then as she steps out of the shadows it becomes clear what shifted. Her hair, normally long and elaborately done has been cut drastically. Liberal amounts of gel spiked it out in various directions. An expert could tell that it had been done hastily and without true finesse, but to any others it was simply the new punk style. She nods to Conner and joins him in waiting for the others.

Upon emerging from his car Wilhelm stays silent for several long seconds. His Auspex-enhanced gaze pierces the gloom with ease as he observes what he is able to from this vantage point. The security...a standard precaution, designed to prevent egress more than entrance? Or had special measures been taken to ward off intruders upon word of the Blood Hunt drifting to this forsaken place?

Twist's appearance merited a curious look. Not that he found it too surprising she would alter her hairstyle so drastically, it would grow back by the next night after all, but he did wonder what the purpose of it was. She certainly was not simply making a fashion statement now, of all times. "We will have to enter without alerting any Kindred inside that more have come, of course." If MacAntaghee was inside they certainly didn't want him to know that they were coming. And besides...beginning an attack by strolling in through the front door was just an affront to Mekhet sensibilities.

He turned to look to Twist, "Over the fence, or is your appearance indicative of a different plan you have in mind?" There was a polite curiosity in his voice as he asked, the Priscus not bothering to hide it.

[Twist]

Twist pointed to where one of the rolling light beams illuminated one of the guards with a dog at his side. "Last time we attempted over the fence they were less than pleasant greeters. So I was planning on simply going through the front door. If I recall there is only one guard at the house and he should be easily dealt with. Unless you have a way to silence the dogs?"

[Victoria Stamford]

Victoria had assisted in mapping out the complex to the best of her knowledge and approached the others as they were discussing their options.

"If you need a way past the dogs I can always handle them again. I also have some medical uniforms and with a little work it should get us inside or keep us from standing out as much when we are in there. If there are guards with the dogs this time it might be better to try and talk our way in rather than sneak. Regardless, we should move quickly. If we linger we could be discovered."

Wilhelm frowned slightly, not at all thrilled with the prospect of strolling in through the front door. It screamed against every instinct the Mekhet had acquired over long decades. But he was not among those who had snuck in here before, and if Victoria and Twist thought it was the best way he was not about to argue. He just did not particularly like it.

"If we have uniforms obfuscations are likely not necessary to gain entrance." Perhaps if they were all capable of it...but that was hardly the case. Besides, this was a situation where his and Conner's relatively plain appearance might actually prove beneficial in comparison to Victoria's and Twist's. It was easier to pose as an employee who someone simply did not remember when your features were not so, well...memorable.
