The gym is quiet. Probably because it's unpopular. And way out of peak hours. But that's what makes it great; it's almost like a private playground. It had taken Quick a little research to find the best one for the task, but being on the road pretty much all the time has its perks. Knowing the best spots to go. Sure, it's not as clean or new as some of the nicer gyms. Doesn't smell entirely fresh, either. But what is does have is a mostly unused little ring and plenty of gloves. After sending his text, he starts limbering up. Donning some simple grey athletic shorts and a tight-fitting blue shirt, he's almost sad there aren't many people there to see him. Because he looks great.
The beautiful Sera - a friend if Quick had any in this city - had mentioned boxing. Quick had mentioned how boxing has too many rules. It probably wouldn't matter much. If she shows up, its going to get interesting. He wouldn't be going easy on her just because of some weird sexism disguised as courtesy, either. The Levinquick grins to himself at the thought. Maybe he wouldn't mind smudging her makeup just a bit.
Not out of jealousy.
Of course not. As he wraps his hands with bandages, he imagines the scenario in full. She'd probably put up a good fight. Probably look graceful doing it. But, in the end, Quick would get the upper hand. It's the only way it can happen. After, he'd be a good sport and buy them some frozen yogurt or something. What kind of flavors did that shop on the corner have?
Quick blinks.
"Wonder when she'll get here..." he mutters under his breath. Anticipation is fine. Waiting is boring.
