"I am on the tactics end, though I use mostly guns to fight . " Ahriman shrugs. "And the philosophy."
He honestly felt out of place. People from the army, hand to hand fighters. He kinda wanted to slink away and let them talk. He shifts slightly instead and crosses his arms.

'I'm a trained boxer, which is why I don't use weapons.' He thinks a moment, trying to remember if he ever used weapons before. Maybe a club, but only to look intimidating.
Besides knives... in the kitchen, I don't think so.
'I think that, like most of us here, my spells can be quite destructive to anything. Using other weapons though, I would really need training, because if you give me a gun I kill myself quicker than actually damaging an opponent.'

"You ever find yourself alone against an Obrimos, your spells might not be able to do much at all," Joshua says. "And getting close enough to land a punch could be difficult. Best strategy, of course, is to not be alone, but that's not always possible. I strongly recommend having a contingency of some sort.
"Small arms," he adds, touching his chest and getting back to the subject. "Savate and tae kwon do. Some swordplay, some knives and stick fighting." He looks to those who haven't spoken.

Vaeltia smirked at the Obrimos statement, knowing full well she was the only of that path in the room. But then she was also the only female, and that came with it’s own fighting style as well. “I can use a bow, I have some skill with a knife and I have no issue punching people in the face.” she said with a small smirk, “Although I prefer to have a bit more head in the game than fists.”

The Magister nods at Vae's final statement; there was a lot to agree with there. "So we have some good coverage here when it comes to methodology. Once we get things more regimented here, we'll look at creating a full training curriculum. Adaptability is Strength. Never stop learning," he says; there's a short glance at Tamwood but the statement is intended for them all.
"So. We have some plans for the building, and we have some goals to achieve. Does anybody have anything else, before we wrap up?"

“Few things, when do we start?” she asked after giving the other arrows in the room glances. “And are we still going to be holding this place and organization under it’s previous moniker? And I’m an artist, if I manage some extra free time I might be able to do something with that if it’s cool.”

"It's... I guess it's cool?" Joshua says after a moment. 'Art' was not something he'd ever spent much time thinking about, and the idea of it in the Circle left him feeling vaguely uncomfortable--like suddenly finding you were going to be sharing your bedroom with your cousin for the summer. "Run a plan by me before you start anything, first, please. And if you want, we can get started tonight--I was going to go down to where the range was and start working out new placements."
"I can lend a hand. I'm used to hauling and moving stuff, as needed. I am as curious as Vaeltia, though. What is the Circle's public face?"
Aegis knew nothing of the Circle of Creation aside from it's purpose as a convening place for Arrows and Guardians. What did Sleepers think as they watched these men and women arrive and walk into this 'cathedral?'

“I’m not too curious, Aegis, I’m just wondering if we are still intending to use the ‘Arrow Security’ like they did a few years back.” she said with a shrug “Well I think you’re right Magister Morris.” she said pulling a small piece of paper and pencil out of a pocket and scribbling on it.
“Here’s my number,” she said handing it to the Magister. “We’ll talk okay, I won’t do anything too drastic, but I might have a whole lot of left over pink paint if I’m not careful.” She shot an glance over at West a smile starting to form on her lips.
I doubt that, though.

West looked down as Joshua ( Jmiland1 ) mentioned him, almost looking... embarrassed.
Who knew that watching Equilibrium drunk with Kai would leave such a lasting impression?
Yet the reasoning was sound, if the motives not entirely pure. Do Not Have Preferences. He listened to the conversation, particularly Mike Tamwood 's comment on Annihilation -- it was something Niles Plotski had done. With a small start, he realized everyone had spoken while he'd spaced out.
"Guns, obviously," he offered quietly, sliding it into the new conversation with all the grace of Sheldon Cooper losing his virginity.
"Some hand to hand," West continued. In for a penny, in for a pound. "Rifles."
"And Magic."
He nodded toward Ahriman , his comment on tactics, and then to Tamwood.
"Power Obeys Strategy. I can't stress enough that we should learn to be effective without magic, but we should learn to be most effective with magic. Each Path has different applications. We should also always be tactical."
He opened his mouth to continue, to talk about the Circle's purpose, but closed it -- mindful that he'd interrupted and that what he had to say might be better said in private to the new Magister. West glanced at his Apprentice, Vaeltia , surprised at the mention of paint, and hoping that most of the people had noticed his fence.
Really hoped.
For a closing statement, he shrugged slightly, letting them know they could continue their regularly scheduled programming.
