Floating symbols? Chambers was not simply being overly harsh of a brash character. There was legitimate concern here.

She didn't lean forward toward Aurora, but she most assuredly was listening after Chambers' questions.

A faint nod of agreement with Thirteen, "Perhaps we all should.

[Aurora]

At the reveal that Skye sees things, and not just anything, but floating symbols, she lowers her head into her hands. Shaking her head, “When did you visit her Sanctum? I’ve been there twice, and I didn’t see those symbols. The last time being last June.” So was this a new issue, or was it something that she had been hiding from her? “Benign or not, it needs to be looked into, there is no telling which way this could go.” It was very concerning.

Nodding, “Which is another issue I’ve had with her personally. And I’ve discussed with her and has been why I’ve never supported her bid for Councilor. Her wearing her heart on her sleeve, and putting her feelings for others above what needs to be done, is a problem in my opinion. I present the whole mess with Corn and how close she had grown with him. She saw him as a friend, and I feel it clouded her judgement of him and the laws he had broken. Going out of her way to make sure he was comfortable in his cell. Even telling me her personality tends to make her suited with those who need a cheerful warmth, so she wasn’t suited for Councilor or Provost, then the next breath telling me her smile is just hiding what is underneath, that she has claws. It's a flip-flop with her.” Shaking her head, “I never know which Skye I’m getting when I talk with her. And in my opinion, it has only gotten worse, the way her personality changes when you talk with her. Maybe that’s just how I view it.”

A nod to Thirteen, “I agree, I would like to talk with him as well.” Especially as a fellow Shaman.

[Chambers]

Salem has been up to post for over ten days Salem leaves the scene his marble can be ignored.

Judging by the general quite that seemed to fill his sanctum after his declaration the words, the gravity of the situation were taking some time to sink in. "Unfortunately yes she is that kind of unstable." And it had informed his initial opinion on the Arrows suitability for any kind of role, because well putting someone who was known to insane, even in benign manner into any role was a monstrously large risk. "As Councillors you have the legal right to seek me out and advise me on matters, given you were likely unaware of this matter I asked each of you to do that, advise me on the decision." Which did rest with him after all. "If the advise is to talk to Ascelpius I will give it some thought but do worry about his own bias as arrow, the risk of confusing an arrows duties with those of a sentinel. They are not the same. Even what few comparisons I know to make." And frankly he was not going to run every decision by every mage in the consilium, that road lead to substantial delays in getting anything done.


Witch it seemed was waiting on more information. But the real surprise is when Salem just leaves. He had not been expecting that. "Well then." Looking to the rest to continue on with the matter at hand.

In answer to Aurora's question he has to think. "I saw this display first in the middle of may last year. She had told me of it prior to then." With a pause filled with concern. "So yes before June of that same year." That showed something, what he was not able to discern but it didn't feel good that Aurora had not been made privy to these same engraved symbols on visits after his own. "I am inclined to agree yes, for her own well being and everyone's safety." But to that end Skye had not gone entirely off the deep end since he became aware of her instability. "I had put her how shall we say vast personality shifts down to people pleasing but it is very possible it something worse." He to had noticed and spoken to Skye on this, getting similar answers to those Aurora gives voice to now. "And again I agree she got far to close to Corn, and well that entire situation ended poorly." But Corn had been mishandled for a long time if half of what had been said about the man was true.

[Thirteen]

Thirteen scowled at the floor as she listened to the others, hearing the accounts of Skye's mental and emotional instabilities. Jinx blithely pecked away at the dead fish, and occasionally he looked up as if to say something, but the Acanthus would shoot him a look and the familiar stayed quiet. It was probably for the best if the crow didn't add some inappropriate remark about the Arrow and her mental health.

"Well, now I'm leanin' towards a big fat No. The last thing this Consilium needs is a cop who's seein' things and blindin' herself to the law because she's sweet on a guy." The redhead was silent for a moment, then looked at Aurora, "So how did she take it when you had to refuse her as a Councilor or Provost? Do we need to be on guard if she's refused as Sentinel?"

[Aurora]

“Well, to be fair, I was never sure if it was part of her personality or not. So I had always been in a watch and observe position.” She seemed off, but that could have just been different personalities. “I believe his opinion will do us some good, though I do stand by what I have said. At the end of the day, it is your call to make. But he should be made aware if it believed she is unstable, he works more closely with her and should be told to keep an eye out.” It was only right.


There was a look of concern on her face, “So I didn’t see them, meaning they were either hidden, or I am just not that observant. And I’m an observant person, so it makes me wonder if she would hide them. But why from me and not you?” looking thoughtful, but could she hide them. An absent nod as she appears to still be thinking some things over.

Looking to Thirteen, “At first, she didn't want either, but for some reason, she changed her mind, which anyone is allowed to do. But she seemed disappointed, because at that time, the face she presenting me, was someone who wanted to be Provost or Councilor so she could greet and engage new people with a quote warm playful demeanor, try to be easy to approach, someone easy for people to be around. And when I pushed back against that, saying it was fine to be that way, but it wasn’t sustainable and wouldn’t make her someone who would be taken seriously in the long run. Well, then it turned into it would only serve for her claws to be all the sharper when she needed to show them, that she if she needed to take them out, she was not afraid to use them. Like a completely different front than what she had been presented. Not once had she talked about claws, needing to fight or anything like that in the whole of the conversation. Only when pushed back on her calm and playful demeanor bs wasn’t going to be taken seriously.” A sigh, “What I have noticed with her, is she will start conversations with her friendly, kind attitude, and when it doesn’t get her the result she wants, she will begin to drop hints about how things can change.” Shrugging, “I don’t know if she means anything by it, but I have noticed her attitude shift and she feels like no one is taking her seriously. I’ve always kept an eye on it just because it’s been…odd. But that’s my opinion.”

She watched Salem leave, but didn't comment on it, focusing quickly back to those who remained and more importantly, the conversation.

"It sounds like most are in agreement Heirarch. She herself is a concern and no one is advocating that she be tested for the position." Though her words were confident, Witch did glance around at the others present, allowing anyone to refute her if they so felt the need.

As far as the specific points regarding Skye, she noted them but did not herself add any.

[Chambers]

It would seem there was a consensus within the room and it had only served to solidify the stance the hierarch had come into the meeting with. Still. "Her dedication and efforts can't be called into question, on those fronts she does work hard." However Thirteen did put if a little bluntly, quite succinctly. "However yes her state of being and track record where sentinel like duties are concerned does not make her suitable." Taking a pause. "But I did call each of your here for advice and that seems to be I should consult Asclepius before making a final decision." The arrow would need to make one mighty case if he took to trying to sway the Moros mind on the matter however. "Which I shall do." Because well what was the point of asking for advice if he was not going to listen to it.

As foe the symbols themselves he sighs slightly. "Why she would choose to share this with me and not you, I am unsure Aurora." A few possibilities came to mind but none made to open consideration. "If you want to know yo would have to get the answer from Skye herself." The only one would have those answers would the arrow.

He mostly listens to Auroras account of Skye's shifting behavior and found himself in agreement warm and playful were not hallmarks of someone taking the position seriously or with the due care it required. It sound very much to him that Skye had planned to perhaps endanger herself or others with her frivolous endeavors. Not that he was one to talk any member of the consilium could take advantage of his efforts in attempts to cause him harm. But towards the end of the conversation something really does ring alarm bells. "Skye has threatened you Aurora?" Because that what it sounded like all this talk of claws and changing attitudes when things didn't go the way she had perhaps envisioned. And that was an entirely new escalation to the problem.

Witch's summary was indeed accurate and due the confidence with which she spoke it. No one was even suggesting Skye should be tested given the revelations that had come out. "I think that is the case yes, with the exception of speaking with Asclepius the matter seems pretty cut and dry." Leaning back into the counter a little to ponder. In a way he had really hoped to be wrong or at least more worried then he had otherwise been but these meeting has served to escalate his concerns more then assuage them. "It does seem to me that we might need to keep a more careful eye on Skye moving forward." Observation for safety sake, her own and others.

[Thirteen]

Listening to Aurora's accounts, the Acanthus seemed more and more troubled by the growing madness of the Arrow. "Is there some sort of... I dunno, psychiatric help we can get her? Obviously the options are limited given Awakened business, but she feels like a potential disaster we need to nip in the bud. Don't seem like she's engaging in any sort of self-care."

The Highlander gave a nod of her head to Chambers, "Seems to be the consensus. Get Ascelpius' input, and maybe warn him about Skye's mental health if he isn't aware." She paused and took a breath, "Just to make my position official, I vote no. Or nay. Whatever the proper term is."

Jinx was finished with the fish. He wasn't a huge bird, so he couldn't eat much. The fish's eyeballs were gone, and the crow seemed happy. Now he just sat by Thirteen and silently watched the gathered Magi discuss the crazy Thyrsus.

[Aurora]

She had to agree with what Witch said and nods.

Thought was given to what Chambers said, “I could ask her about it, or I could let it play out. It seems to me she might not want me to know for some reason right now. Now that I know, I’m going to be a bit more cautious and have a different sight up if I have the chance to be at her Sanctum again.” And then, “Plus, if I mention it, it tells her that you’ve mentioned it, and I don’t know if we want her to know that. Is that the best move?” she asks him.

A shake of her head, “No, not a threat. It was more of her saying she wasn’t one to be underestimated because of the front she puts on. If it had been a threat, it would have been handled differently. But Asclepius and Guru were there, and neither perceived it as a threat either, at least, not that they stated. Just more of a don’t let her friendly, warm demeanor fool you.” A shrug.

Looking to Thirteen, “I’m not sure, there could be something with the Mind Arcana that could be helpful. But that is something that requires Skye to believe she needs help and we have someone proficient enough in that Arcana that can help. Not to mention the trust that is required to use such Arcana. It’s someone mind, it’s allowing another to access. And again, it hinges on if she wants help, she might not believe she needs it and think everything is fine.”

Taking a breath, “I do worry about Asclepius because of the way Skye seems to view him as an ally. An ally not in a healthy way. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but she finds herself someone to focus or attach to, someone she sides with more than anyone else. And with Corn gone, it feels like it has shifted to him. A nickname, the praise, she gravitates to him. So, I would just approach it with a bit of caution. I’ve worked with him, and he has a great head on his shoulders, but I would still just be a bit careful.”

Nodding after Thirteen gives her vote, “I also vote no. At least not until her mental health has been cleared and whatever is going has been resolved to the satisfaction of yourself and the Council.”
