One of the easiest ways to become a big fish was to move to a small pond. And Sacramento was a very small pond. She gave a small nod to the newest member-slash-interm-Councilor of the city, "Congratulations.". A small sparkle of humor flashed briefly at his jibe, but that was all the reaction she offered.

Turning to Salem, she offered the same. Minus the glint of amusement given there was a minus of joke on his acceptance.

A quick thumbs up in silent congrats was offered to Asclepius, but not wanting to distract further from the meeting's official topics she left it at that before turning to Chambers. A thoughtful look settled on her face, at the announcement of another training on the duel. The focus on the oath. She should probably attend, but she wouldn't deny to herself that the idea of learning wordplay appealed little to her.

The Arrow's smile was hard to hide, he had felt that this was something to take pride in and so receiving these words of praise was him reaping the rewards.

“Thank you Aurora, the hard work has yet to stop as the next milestone lies ahead of me yet.” He understood that just achieving the rank of master was a time consuming feat but acting like a master of first degree was another thing. With great power always came tough choices to make, of which, he knew that at some point he would need to call out for help. Giving the trust and experiences shared between himself and the shaman councillor he knew that she would most likely be the one he would have to speak to if his urge to over step with these new found responsibilities.

Chambers, to the Arrow's knowledge, did not seem the man for much praise other then when it was well placed. This made it all the more savoury when Chambers offered a few words of praise of his own. “Much Appreciated Chambers.” I have no doubts now that the Hierarch knows of my new capabilities, he will be able to position us into a more advantageous standing against our foes.

The new mage was quiet but that was fair, the Consilium was full of faces when the Arrow first joined and he could remember it like it was yesterday having to work out who was who and try to let down some of the defences around other mages.

Salem was witnessed leaving and offered a silent goodbye, no need to halt the man with any spoken farewells.

Thirteen suddenly speaking of chances with regards to his announcement surprised him a little. Wasn't she the one that did not care for chance or luck? Perhaps she is speaking to cater to my views on luck and such. “Certainly does! I have no doubts that when it comes down to it, we will have eliminated as much potential for chance and luck to squander our victory.” Eyes to jinx at Thirteen's approval of a tiny bit of cake. “Tiny is better then no cake. Sounds like a win to me.”

Skye was one that he knew would be someone that would really appreciate his efforts in progressing towards his goals. “Thank you First Talon Skye.” From an Arrow perspective this was not just about the duel, a stronger Arrow meant that the people of the Consilium were safer then a weak one. While he needed to work on his physical strength again, this expansion of knowledge would provide useful tools in dealing with other desperate situations or operations.

Witch's thumbs up was noticed, and a nod and smile was returned as a silent thank you.

Chambers announcement of another duelling lesson was something to be excited for. Given the efforts he had gone to so far, it would be foolish to miss this lesson and something was telling him that the Hierarch would not look fondly on him if he missed it. What interested the Arrow was that the subject was not on the duelling itself but the formation of oaths, no doubt it would be something akin to wording a wish with a genie to not get some horrible backlash for ones greed.

Glancing to Chambers, another Duel lesson. While she was on the fence about attending another one, sounded like this one would have some information that would be good to brush up on. And she doesn’t have to participate in the actual duel part of it anyways, she can be there to observe and maybe square a circle if needed.

Nodding and raising a hand, “No problem, have a good one.” He had, after all, let them know when the meeting started.

To Asclepius, “The hard work has just started and will be continuous, an ever-going test and challenge. But I think you're up for it.” She hoped he wasn’t going to fall to the trap of obtaining Mastrry. So many did and so many failed it.

Salem's departure is noted, but there had been forewarning so there is no displeasure from the hierarch. There doesn't seem to be any serious objection or additions to the points made thus far either, a round of congratulations for the arrow, and duly deserved it was an achievement, even if it did also cause the Moros some worry.

So That left three items on the agenda. As always it seemed there was more to get through then they would have time for. "Alright then I think the last of time should focus on point three and we can wrap point four into it." They were after all related. "I understand we left off on a rather contentious issue last. The means by which to trap and catch the invading mages from San Francisco consilium in breaches of the lex." He gestures first to Asclepius. "We of course have Provost Asclepius who when the times comes will be our champion in a duel arcane to settle any matters of dispute." And when the red tape came into play there would almost certainly still need to be a duel. "But to help our position and force the Golden consilium of San Francisco to the table we are looking to add some ammunition to our own political stance." And avoid all out war if they could. "We ended last time with a variation of an idea put forward by Councillor Thirteen." Giving the enchantress her due. "That we use the hallow located by my sanctum as bait to cause breaches of the great rights of by the San Francisco mages, we also decided not to try and trick the hunters into being there at the same time." It had been that removal that had made the plan a variation. "While my sanctum will be sacrificed in this plan, it is something I am supporting in the hopes it strengths the consilium's position." He had not wavered on that. "Each of you has had a number of months to think on this, or." Indicating well now only Zhu Wu as Salem had departed. "Are bring fresh perspective." Looking to each mage. "What thoughts have we had regarding this." Opening the floor, in truth only the councillors had the legal right to offer him advice, but here he was the one seeking it, a small but important distinction.

“I’ve been told some about the rival group,” with a glance at Thirteen, “but I know nothing about the plan other than what you have just stated.” He looks down at his empty coffee as a way to give himself a moment of thought. “I am forced to assume you expect they would take the bait. That seems odd from my perspective if they are attempting a legal takeover. On the other hand the story I have heard doesn’t paint them in the most stable light. It seems better to not involve the Hunters. They would only complicate the matter as it could be argued that arranging to bring Awakened and Hunters who have been known to hunt the Awakened together would be an undeclared War on our part.” He turns to look at the collected Arrows with a small grin at Skye, “I’m not living up to my name at the moment but part of strategy is knowing when one should listen to people with more knowledge on the matter at hand.”

The mages continue to exchange points, news and ideas until the time comes that each in turn must depart.

And that's the end of the month, and Consilium closes. Sanctuary and Status will open tomorrow!
