Springing into Action

[Jasper]

The Coyote nods and grins. "Don't need much," he says with a small laugh. "I'm used to feeding folks on not a lot of money. I'll scrape up what I can too, but it's not gonna be a lot..." Unless I go whoring... Hmmm.. There's a thought... A toothy grin curls on his lips.

He watches the monkey lady clap with glee and he can't help but grin more.

He looks to Mina and nods. "We can definitely work on that together. Always better to do things with friends," he says.

He nods in agreement. "We could maybe get one of those old record players, wind up ones? Or I can try to rig something up in here.." he says, looking around the Tavern. "Don't know if it'll work, but hey, it's not gonna hurt."

At the talk of more parties, he grins more. If he had a tail, it might be wagging. His ears perk up though. "Pot luck definitely sounds good. Everyone bring a bit of something to share. Something they like or want and share it with everyone else too?" he comments. "Outside games are always good, just no frisbee," he says and makes a playful if loud snap of his teeth before grinning mischeviously. "We wanna do a Homecoming at some point this year?" He'd been to one of those celebrations before, back in the last place he lived before Sacramento, but had never been part of planning one.

Light bulb!

"Oh, I'm gonna do what's called delegating authority!" Sonnie nodded, paused to double check that she'd used the right words, then nodded again. "Mina, you handle the April party. Jasper you got May! Do what you guys want, I got faith! Just, uh, double check with each other to make sure you're not both doing the same thing." The more she delegates, the less she's responsible for! It's a win-win... for the monkey!

"If you need any help, I'm right here!" The Beast wasn't that irresponsible, after all.

More nodding from the Vernal Queen, "Record players should work okay in the Hedge. Older ones. The less complicated, the better, I think."

[Mina]

“Hmmm, ok. Well, lets get a list together then, what we want to serve and what we need to get. Then we’ll have a figure of how much we need to spend and can go from there. Will that work?” she asks him.

“And then that’s what we will do!” she declares!

“Maybe a second-hand shop? I’m often clothes shopping in those; I can take a look around and see if I can find one.” She’d never looked for one, but can at least keep an eye out.

An eager nod, “Exactly! Then everyone knows there is something there they enjoy. We can do outside and inside games. Maybe do something here then, or at Funderland after hours if the weather permits. I’ve got some board-game ideas that I’ve been picking up here and there.” Thanks to Kray.

An eyebrow raises, “Delegating?” laughing, “You sure you trust us with that? Things could get,” offering a sly, slide eye to Jasper, “interesting.” Before laughing again. “But I think we can handle that. I can do a pot luck game night in April.” Says the Snowskin.

[Jasper]

Jasper perks up at the idea. "Yeah? Yeah.. I could do something for May. That sounds like a good plan.." he agrees, nodding and huffing softly as he thinks. "Late Spring is my jam anyway.. Starting to get hot... and sweaty.." he says, grinning mischievously.

He nods to Sonnie's offer to help. "Yeah. Same goes for you both. You need help with anything, I'm your guy.."

He nods in agreement at the talk of older players working fine in the hedge.

He nods to Mina's suggestion and grins. "That should work for me, yeah."

At the talk of venues, he pipes in. "Any of those sounds good by me. We could even do all three? Tavern for the change over, so we don't have the hobs out in the real... and then Funderland for one of them and outdoors somewhere for the other get together?" he offers.

He catches that sly look from the Elemental. Oh yeah, he could like this girl. "Interesting is a good word. I also like messy.." he says, grinning. "Messy is good. Messy is fun.." he says, laughing softly. He nods when she agrees to planning the pot luck. Now he just has got to figure out what he wants to do for his event. "I should probably get your number so we can chat and plan these things out.. Or you can get mine.." he offers, pulling a ballpoint pen out of his pocket.

"Great!" The Beast smiled, flashing her long incisors. "I can supply some extra cash for each party, so consider the royal coffers open!" After a pause, she added, "Small as they might be. I am a supportive queen!"

Sonnie looked at Mina and nodded firmly, "Of course! If I can't trust my own courtiers, who can I trust? And it better be interesting! That's the fun part!"

"Here or up in Funderland is all good. Don't be afraid to try booking a venue elsewhere, too. As long as we have privacy for the freeholders, practically anywhere is good to party."

[Mina]

“I think it’ll depend on what works for the other two events. I’m ok planning around using Funderland, especially if I’m planning around doing potluck. That way if people bring something that needs to stay heated, we have access to electricity. Though some parks have started running outlets for such things. So I guess it depends on what you have planned Jasper, would your party fit more with an outdoor setting, or here at Funderland?” she was flexible either way.

“Messy has its place for sure.” Then nods, “Sure!” and offers her cell number. “And feel free to call or text anytime, even if you just want to hangout or something.” Would be great to get to know her fellow Spring.

Smiling to Sonnie, “Thank you! I think it’s wonderful that you’re as supportive as you are.” She’s heard stories of Monarch’s who were uptight and very unsupportive.

Laughing, “Well, no pressure there!”

“Hmmm, a venue could be fun. I’ll have to take a look around and see what there is.” Private, but fits with what she was thinking.

[Jasper]

Jasper nods and smiles. "Always good to have support."

He nods to Mina, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. "I'm not sure what I want to do yet.. I've got ideas brewing, percolating, but not settled on one yet. You can definitely plan for Funderland, if you want it, and I'll figure something out. Might use Funderland too, or somewhere else," he says, giving a bit of a shrug of those shoulders. He doesn't know what he wants yet and Desires can be fickle at times.

He nods in agreement, "Definitely has a place.." He writes her number on the palm of his hand, easier than risking a cell phone here in the hollow. He offers to write his on her hand, or if she has a piece of paper he'll use that, if he has to... "Same here. Call or text whenever, Mina."

She would clap her hands again, pleased that this meeting is going so well, but her hands were full of pizza!

Thus, she clapped her feet. Those were almost like hands! Hands for your legs! Monkey feet, especially! Look at those weird opposable toes she has!

"Yuth!" she said with her mouth full of cheese and meat and crust. After remembering to swallow, Sonnie spoke again. "Much planning to be hand! We are SO Spring right now!" Her Mantle would be singing if it made noise.

Instead, it just sort of smelled like a Hawaiian luau.

"So, is there anything you guys need to discuss?" the Beast asked before cramming more pizza into her maw.
