As the morgue expected is out of the way, its not a place the public go usually permission or observation is required when viewing a body if it isn't brought out that the clinically clean hospital seems to get quieter darker even is surely a trick of the mind the corridor has a few empty gurneys in it with broken wheels or shattered hand rails a dumping ground for the unusable equipment, well a dead body wasn't going to make a complaint.

The two mages making their way down a few flights of stairs and a short straight corridor find themselves in front of a clerk who is busy not working but rather completing his crossword in todays copy of the Bee.

The morgue. A basement full of dead people and emotional misery. If Thirteen hated hospitals, she absolutely loathed morgues. More unpleasant memories welled up as she and the Thyrsus advanced towards the clerk. Memories she kept shoving to the side so she could focus on the mission.

At least her growing discomfort seemed natural. A lot of people wouldn't want to be here. That made it all the easier to keep her head down and eyes on her phone. Again, she wallowed in silence, so as not to give her accent away. The Libertine assumed the Arrow had a plan to get inside, anyway.

Whist travelling to the morgue, there was a strange feeling of mild relief. When they had attempted to leave the ward he had expected trouble, but it seems for now the gentleman waiting was not interested in them immediately. He could only hope that it would remain this way, but now was the time to ready himself again. Being able to talk his way to seeing Corn's body would be, in his mind, more difficult. On the other hand he had not needed to venture down to the morgue out of hours or at work. His plan was the same as before, keep it simple and as believable as he could.

With Thirteen's posture and presentation like that of when they walked into the ward, he of course took the lead in walking to the clerk that was doing his crossword. “Hello there, Sorry to bother you. I was wondering if you could help me, does the morgue still have a former patient by the name of Theodor Cornell in the morgue? And is it possible to view the body?” The less info spoken initially the better.

Thirteens bad day continues now out of the way in a place full of misery, bad memories and the dead. A sterile, silent heavy place where only those who luck really had run out end up.

The clerk looks up at Asclepius a slight frown checks the ID with the barest of glances before hitting a button and the morgue door buzz's into the unlocked position. Something to consider while the yare inside. "You here to see a body or belongings?" No effort is made to move from his seat the paper still held in hand suspended between the two.

One positive for the enchantress while the clerk himself does not show or indicate any strong or altered fate as he said the word belonging it resonates a little in her supernal enhanced awareness.

If the Libertine could do one thing quite well, it was persevere through hardship. She was going to stubbornly see this morgue visit through to the end.

That said, she barely spared the clerk a glance, once she noticed her had no particular fate about him. Except... that word.

Belongings.

It was what they were after, really. Better than looking at a corpse, for certain. Head down, eyes on her phone, Thirteen let the Shaman continue on uninterrupted. He knew what they wanted.

The one worry that entered his mind at the moment was, what will I say if anyone higher up actually came to question me about my actions today? Cross that bridge when I get to it I guess.

Thankful that the clerk was lax about his station, barely looking at his I.D gave him the small hope that there would be little resistance in the morgue. On the other hand, one must never count their chickens before they hatched. “Both, if that is possible. We aim to visit the body first and then the belongings.” Once he heard the Buzz of the door, he made his way over to the door to open it and held it open for Thirteen to enter as well. He gave a thumbs up to the clerk while he held the door as a thank you.

The temperature through the door plummets not anything unbearable just noticeable more controlled then the corridor outside locker and prep station for technicians greets theme before moving into the morgue proper the wall of closed metal sealed shelves in one Corn, another Philip and a third the mystery dead man in theory anyway. Dangling plastic strips impede visual progress to another room an the buzz door clicks its magnetic lock sealing them in from behind.

Good thing I got my jacket on, was what she thought as Thirteen entered the frigid morgue. The phone went into a pocket as she looked about, as she was done avoiding social contact for the moment. Aware that there was probably a security camera in this room, the redhead kept her hands to herself.

With no interest in the body, she looked about for where Corn's belongings were kept, as well as spotting any cameras.

The temperature drop was expected, these places needed to be cold for preservation and containment. If not it would get very messy, not something anyone wants. He notes the click of the magnetic lock, if they needed to escape for whatever reason, it would need something done about it to get out. I reckon a little electrical manipulation will do something to help there. Meeting the wall of slabbed shelves for the bodies to be stored on, he first looked across them looking for the name that he was given 'Theodor Cornell' And, while already looking, he looked to see if there was a Philip of some variety. He had not interacted much with Philip, so he did doubt that he would be filed under such a name. However, He also did look for the dates, He was not fully familiar with the filing system of the morgue but he looked to see if there was a date of admittance or some such or date that coincided with the events and facts that Chambers had laid out in the briefing.

Perception – failure

He did internally curse the lazyness of the clerk, though it was a benefit to them, it was also a curse that he did not fully direct them to where Corn's body was stored.

Maybe its the cold, maybe it s the presence of all those corpses just sealed away but the mages both find the place to be rather distracting Thirteen looking around for the belongings of the dead pokes her head through the heavy plastic flaps into the next room that looks like the jackpot some kind of storage room full of labelled carboard boxes, somewhere in there would corns and Philips stuff, well whatever the police didn't take as part of the investigation.

Asclepius has a similar problem with the bodies its going to take more then a momentary glance to find the ones he is looking for, a methodical open pull out an check is going to be require and it much like searching the room of belongings is going to take some considerable time.
