The Ladder enters the Circle with a coffee that is equal parts coffee and sugar. There has to be a better way to handle having multiple different lives, somehow. Hopefully. For now caffeine. Taking a long pull he waves at the others and finds somewhere to the side. Sitting down he pulls out a book, anyone taking a peak close enough will see that its an introduction to Law, and opens it to barely a few pages in.

I'll be out of town for the first two weeks of June and back after, Cavendish will read until I'm back

Guru enjoyed the actual contact with Skye not worried too much about the sympathy there, there was only so much he could do to keep the ties loose. He was trying to work on that though it meant getting over himself mostly. A pat on the back and then he stepped away finding a column to lean against. Having realized he couldn't surmise what Skye was reading one way or the other so his curiosity would have to remain unsaited for the moment. He laughed along with Chambers though after thinking about it for a moment, "Maybe mark them off or put a symbol next to them? Keep it as a memorial?" Sentiment running heavy in the Shaman as he wanted to remember those who had been, especially those that had died. "For the merry reprieve, I think I might take the kayak out on the river but it depends on rainfall. What about you guys, what's next on the list?" He offered with a smirk knowing he had plenty outside of their mission he needed to prep still. He had caught a glimpse of Cavendish out of the corner of his eye and offered a wave but kept his attention to the immediate conversation.

Summer was right around the corner; the Shaman could almost smell it! And that meant the temperatures were getting warmer and she was diving head first into her shorts and shirts.

The thing with her? She knew she had the long legs to wear shorts and skirts as short as she wanted. And she did, without shame.

Walking into the Circle today was one of those days for her. Black jean shorts and a off white, oversized sweatshirt. In her hand was a coffee, a messenger bag slung over her shoulder, its contents unknown at this time.

A free hand is raised in greeting, “Hi all.” A nod of respect was given to Chambers, after all, he was the top ranked member in the room. But it was extravagant, he had made his wishes on that known. “How’s everyone today?” taking a drink from her coffee.

[Skye]

Falling out of the hug with her fellow shaman, a light shake of her head to adjust her hair with a step backward, considering if she should be leaving soon as people started to gather or just go walk around closeby to finish the chapter.
”I recently tried out a new sport, sadly it was not at all what I expected, so something new to activate a new set of muscle groups is on the list to find.”

Waving of the thank you, finding it unnecessary to begin with.
”A sign of respect is flawed if it does not feel right for the recipient.” Looking toward the board and back to the Hierarch. ”Perhaps store the numbers of those who might return safely somewhere else, but do not include them on the updated lists. Better people see who they can feasibly reach.” A look to her fellow shaman, a bit of a shake of the head. ”I see where you are coming from Guru but I also disagree, not for the present, but for the future. The list could potentially get very long that way, preserving is one thing but constant display with active another.”

Offering a light wave to the ladder as he enters, but giving him his time to read alone.

A friendly wave paired with a light smile as her councilor arrives.
”Nice to see you Aurora, all well here I trust the same goes for you?”

[Chambers]

Cavendish's arrival is noted and a nod given to the man who for the moment seems to be about his own business.

The matter of numbers is expressed well by the two views of the shamans. "That is what I am debating the efficiency of a list of active only numbers vs the equivalent of an honour roll of those two have come before and given however much each did to the Consilium." For good or ill each name had helped shape the path forward. "I am erring on the side of trimming the list but with something to honour those who have come and gone regardless of if they will come again." A war memorial seemed lie ka little to much and tombs was just in bad taste beside not all of them were dead that they knew. "Maybe a mural or the like?" But that would need skilled painters.

Aurora arrived in weather appropriate clothing and she really made it work. "Aurora Hi, well enough thanks, yourself?" The nod was noticed and appreciated if anyone could get away with not it would this Sharman.

[Skye]

”Removing them would never be good, but I believe you will find a path that will seem right.” Taking a moment of thought. ”Seeing as they are numbers though so should ones who will never be used again be properly marked as they do recycle numbers and someone else will eventually get them.”

Looking out over all gathered.
”If you all excuse me for a bit, I need to finish this chapter before I completely lose track.” Flashing them a smile as she takes a note from Cavendish book to head of to read for herself for a bit.

"Oh what sport? I think the most obscure one I've tried is Jai alai, like Squash with more velocity!" He offered with an excited whoop of laughter. The smile only brightening as Aurora entered looking like she was ready for warmer weather. A wave offered, "Say I'm doing well with the better weather for sure." Paying attention to Skye's counter-point and to Chambers proposal. This had him biting on the inside of his cheek and eyes narrowing in thought before he looked around the room quickly. "I think the answer is under our noses. Or feet as it were." Foot tapping out a few quick beats fore emphasis. "Why not just set up the shrine and start adding votives?" Though he understood Skye's need to finish what she had started and the lure of a good book.

[Aurora]

Nodding to Skye, “Going pretty well, enjoying the warming weather as a chance to study outside.” Nothing like heading out to a park with a book or her languages and just soaking up the sun.

“Could always just move the numbers into a separate book if you really want to preserve them.” She says with a shrug. “Never seen anyone really hold on to them, people come and go so frequently here, anything would fill up fairly quickly. But, it’s up to you.” The Shaman didn’t really care either way. She had seen more mages come and go from Sacramento then anyone here.

“Doing good, studies are coming along nicely, new language under my belt.” Another to add to her list. Now of only she had a chance to use them. Maybe someday. “So hoping to start on some of the topics you and I discussed.” She felt she was at a good point with her language studies to step away and focus on other things.

Smiling to Guru, “The warmer weather always does have a way of improve the mood doesn’t it?” it certainly did for her.

[Chambers]

A gentle smile is given to Skye as she moves of to make use of the weather and read her book.

The idea it seems was one of interest to the Moros to get just right if not sure exactly how to do so. "No. A shrine seems a bit much especially considering most of the mare not to my knowledge dead." And well a little to sacrosanct. "Given the low numbers and high turn about I want something to help those who do come through feel less caught of guard or isolated by the situation." Which might be going overboard. "They could of course learn about the existence of who was here now we keep better records." So maybe this was an exercise in over indulgence.

Aurora accomplishment is noted wit ha wider smile. "Another, how many does that make now?" Honestly he had either lost count or forgotten. Before getting more serious. "Right yes we can start to organise that as and when your ready." Not sure she referred to order business or the more personal matters either way vague subtle was called for and he was ready.

His head bobbed back and forth as he listened to Chamber's point and considered it. "Those are fair points, I was mostly thinking of those that had passed. Now that we have the minutes kept there is a record. Hmmm." He finished entirely non-committedly not entirely satisfied with that answer for himself. Still they were formal records and there was gravity there and it's better than dying the second death. He went to start and Chamber's had beat him to the punch with the exact same question which caused the Shaman to laugh and point enthusiastically at him, "What he said! You aren't wrong either, the longer days make them much more pleasant! What will you work on next though?" Eyes bright with curiosity as those lips stayed curled into a bright smile, more than happy to ignore the vague business as if it hadn't been heard at all.
