Circle of creation

The Circle of Creation is the gathering hub for all Pentacle mages in the Sacramento Concilium, with chapter houses for all five Orders inside.

Located east of Sacramento and far outside the prying eyes of the inner city, the Circle of Creation awaits the mages of Sacramento. Despite being a replica of the Westminster Abbey, the sleepers who come by never seem to notice it. The wards built into the structure have made sure of this. To all but the Pentacle the Circle is essentially invisible, ensuring the safety of those who enter and engage with one another. Whether it had always been here for the Awakened was hard to say now, but it was the site that the Awakened gather to mingle and discuss official matters.



It is a time for simply for mingling among the Awakened. The common area is large and open, but over the course of the month it's inevitable that people may bump into each other. The official concerns of the Consilium are put on hold as a more lighthearted experience is shared among this community of the Wise. Ultimately, this is the opportunity to let the proverbial hair down. How much so is up to them.

Sancturary is not a single event, or formal Consilium. It's a compression of time to represent the comings, goings, and intersections of Awakened throughout the month at the Cirlce.

The hierarch stands by the corkboard, no suit jacket today its getting to warm just a grey waistcoat and suit trousers, evaluating the notices and information on display keeping things up to date was important but this month there isn't to much of that to do. Which seems at odds with the look of deep consideration creasing his brow.

[Skye]

Walking in munching upon a cucumber, book in hand its back and front covered by a wooden clip on each side holding a bunch of papers spread out over it for note taking. Not sure if she would find anyone here or not, but being still for to long had never been her style.

Dressed in her usual dark colors, with knives strapped to her back and legs alike. Walking a bit into the room before noticing the Hierarch, flipping a page and letting her arm fall down along with the book, placing a clenched hand by her chest and giving him a light bow in silence not wanting to interrupt his current undertaking. Taking a small bite of the cucumber and going back to reading her book.

The sound of soft fall falls moves the Moros from his contemplation looking around to see Skye and the gesture of respect, it still made his stomach knot when anyone did something like that. He wasn't a king or lord. "Hello Skye, Have you been well?" Pleasantries first. "I'm not sure the bow is necessary by the way." It certainly wasn't a requirement.

[Guru]

Guru was surprisingly early this month though he'd had to spend a lot of time glad handing for information of late. Which meant running all over the city and then some so he was glad to be still in one place for a change. Guru was what he'd considered to be dressed fairly casually in a baby blue button up with a deep navy blue vest tied to be snug. Though he wore no tie, no coat, slacks matched the blazers and then he wore sandals (no socks) to tie it all together. He came empty handed this month rather binning what he had made than serve it to his fellow mages and feeling rather sour for it. "I'd had something to bring but it just, well, wasn't my best day. So, next time. How are you both?" A bit quieter than usual but he was still salty about his muffins as funny as the pun would have been.

[Skye]

”I have thank you, I trust things are going well for you as well?” Shrugging at the words unsure of his feelings around it. ”In none formal times or at all times? Is there some other form of show of respect you would prefer or is it simply just not to your liking?”

Eyes kept on the book as her fellow Shaman arrives, placing down a bookmark and closing the book as she starts to scribble down some characters on it before giving him her full attention with a flashed smile.
”Lovely to see you Guru.” Looking to see if he would have brought something, so unused to see him step into the circle without having something with him be it a planned get together or not. Eyes blinking for a moment at his words before opening her arms a little for him like he had so many times for her in the past. ”Want a hug?”

[Chambers]

A warm smile finds its was to his face at Skye being well. Recent encounters had left hi ma tad unsure of her state of being but she seemed sound more or less most of the time. "That's good to hear. " And it was with all the troubles facing them mages could be well and safe relatively speaking. "Getting by myself, the never ending list of tasks to do getting tackled and such." As for the mark of respect. "I am hierarch, not a king or duke or any other such, I'm sure some expect or enforce certain etiquette I don't need bows or courtesy's." It just wasn't in him to have other place him higher then he was with such actions.

Guru joined them, not on he ran into often on the ay to day. "Hello Guru, how goes things?" He and Skye had a dangerous mission coming up maybe they were here to plan. "Don't worry about it you can never be sure who you will run into if anyone outside of the official meetings." And those only happened every three months.

At first Guru thought Skye had been talking to him given how he was dressed but then the rest of what she had said caught up and he realized he had stumbled into the middle of a conversation on, etiquette? As he was currently looking at the sandals attached to his formal wear, he was fine bucking tradition. "Not kidding about that, we are about as ready as we can be barring the preparations we need to do right before hand." It was going to be a couple of long days. But it was necessary to get everything he needed to ready, to make sure he left as little trace of himself as possible. "Of course I do!" Arms thrown open in joy. It wasn't unusual for things to go over his head but the book had caught his eye as he couldn't help but try to spy the title. "Things are progressing, the list never gets shorter but we hope to make progress to the goal, right."

[Skye]

Sighing with a nod, a quick glance down at her book and back to the Hierarch.
”I know all to well what you speak of, never a dull moment, always something that needs to get done.” It had its own nice feeling but a bit of rest would not hurt. ”Understood I will change the actions going forward to simply just show respect by addressing you as Hierarch, or Hierarch Chambers should there be outsiders present.” Nothing else really needing to be said, if it was not for him she would not argue.

Jumping into her fellow shamans arms, wrapping her own around him with a momentary tight squeeze, allowing him the control of when to loosen up before falling backward. The book though hard to see more than the grey and white outlines on the front and cover thanks to the papers covering it, its frame unhidden reading 何以帝国(从财政视角再看中华史)/何以中国.
”Yeah I still have some work left to sort on my end myself, but shouldn´t be a problem.” That was not a topic she had the time to get to deep into though. ”On a merrier note, how are your plants here at the start of the summer months?”

[Chambers]

A nod of appreciation is given to the arrow. "Than you, the formalities of it all just make things more awkward then they need to be." As for the list of Sisyphean tasks. "I've just been debating if I should cross out the contact details for mages who are no longer in the Consilium for one reason or another." So hardly a urgent task but one that seemed to be indecisive over.

A chuckle at Gurus affirmation. "Each goal at a time, then the next and the next." As was existence no sooner had one thing been tackled several more seemed to pop up. "Still we take in stride and do what we can hey." And if that meant being pushed to expanded their skills an learning to overcome more then that was part of the process. rising to meet each new dilemma
