Aurora gremlins is a rote for you so the dice pool is different from an improvised cast, as the action Aurora attempted is not possible for her I'm afraid I have to say it failed.

Aurora goes to cast but forgets the rote mudras for the spell required of the more complex imago she has imprinted in her knowledge for the spell causing it not to function.

Asclepius first through the door drops the box and pulls his knife free, as the dart gun goes off.

His mage armour is not sufficient to turn the needle as it pierces his hardened skin doing no actual damage itself it's just a needle. But its payload is another matter.

Asclepius I need a stamina + Resolve check if you get 2 or les suxx you pass out, 3-7 Suxx you remain awake but all penalties have a -3 penalty, 8+ suxx you shrug of the effects for the moment. You will need to roll again in 1 minute if you get 3+ Suxx.

She wanted to scream in anger at her herself at forgetting the most basic of spells.

But there wasn’t time as the dart goes off and Asclepius is hit.

There is no time to stop and tend to him, to use a spell to pull whatever that dart was loaded with out. She needed to get trigger happy mcgee down and subdued first.

Vulgar wasn’t her thing, but she needed to get to Asclepius fast. So vulgar it was to get her target down and into a state where he couldn’t hurt her or anyone.

But the universe wasn’t going to let her cast her spell without taking a piece of her, and she felt the pressure in her head and felt the blood drip from her nose. Everything had a price, and she was happy to pay it to contain the paradox within her. The pain was worth it, and she pushed through it.

Ever seen a pissed off blonde with blood running down her nose into her mouth? Now you have.

Now, sleep motherfucker! And maybe hit your head on the way down and bleed out, that’d be a nice touch.

The scene of lilacs and roses fills the vets office/examination room turning sour and fetid like the rotting of corpses. As Aurora unleashes a fraction of the power at her fingertips, willing the bastard to sleep then and there.

Its close the green glyph struggling to set into his pattern but the power of a is not to be thrown off so easily and the glyph forms causing the vets eyes immediately beginning to flutter and he falls prone in a swift series of staggered motions to the floor.

As does Asclepius with the orange feathered dart protruding from his left shoulder. The arrow goes down like a sack of spuds totally unconscious, a good sign that its a tranquiliser dart rather then something worse.

From the corner of her eye, she sees Asclepius go down.

Thankfully, so does her target, which allows her to shift her focus.

She has no clue what the dart contained, but it didn't appear to be what was in the dart that had been fired at her. But she wasn't taking chances with a friend.

Remaining standing, because if mr gun happy woke up, she wanted to be ready to kick him square in the face. Best to stay down buddy, because you don’t want play with a pissed off Life Master who was just nice to you.

Thankfully, this one isn’t vulgar and she doesn’t get another slap to the face from the abyss. It’s the little things sometimes. Hopefully, it will get him back up and she wasn’t too late.

The imago forms as her magic tries to aid her fellow Sharman, the spell on the vet will keep him down for an hour at least even if explosions started going off. Aurora has control of the situation for the moment it is on her to decide how this plays out.

When Asclepius doesn’t wake up, Aurora just groans, well shit.

This wasn’t good. Two passed out people, one psycho and one friend, in a vet’s office, which was very much open did not leave them in an ideal situation.

Time was very much of the essence, which means she need to make decisions fast.

She had options, numerous ones. Some could end this here and now. But she wasn’t that person anymore, she wasn’t a killer anymore.

Perhaps this wasn’t the place where this mess comes to an end. So, she decides, as much as it disgusts her, to search the guy, maybe he has an ID or something else on him that can give them more info on who he is. Are there more darts? If he was waiting for them, he must have more darts. And, if she can, she takes that rosary from him, he seems quite attached to it.

Then she’ll try to wake Asclepius again.
