Otto nodded in agreement with the Daeva. "Of course, I don't intend to be reliant on the Reeve's assistance. Selfishly because the more we can do on our own, the better it reflects on us. But in a practical sense, yes, we can't make any assumptions about how much or what kind of assistance we'd actually get."
The Priest put a hand on his chin for a moment as Alicia started talking about the specific kinds of help they might need. "If there were no issue with actually arranging the assistance, I would want Ghouls monitoring the park during the day so that there would be a consistent watch on the location." He started to rattle off a sort of 'wish-list' of assets. "I would want at least one Kindred doing nothing but research so that someone could be ready with answers to unexpected questions, maybe even staying in an occult library and communicating remotely to ensure they are constantly close to sources of relevant information. Brute strength probably wouldn't be in high demand, one or two individuals at most that could handle any unexpected mortal interference. Past that, I think we could make do with what we currently have." Turning to the Succubus, he shrugged slightly. "Will we actually have these resources going forward? Doubtful, but off the top of my head, that's what would strike me as 'ideal.'"
He gave another shrug at the suggestion that he start tracking down 'Alaric.' "I am content with that assignment. I wouldn't call myself an academic, but I have a better-than-average understanding of the Occult." He briefly glanced at the Mekhet Priscus. "I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'm no slouch. I'm reasonably persuasive and a decent negotiator, and I don't need a weapon to hurt people." The Lord absently flexed his left hand. It was a little strange to give an overview of his abilities, as if he were interviewing for a job. "I don't mind being the one to look into this 'Alaric', given that we are a bit short-staffed, but I wouldn't call myself an investigator."
Otto found that he had been clenching his teeth at the Daeva's argument about the 'burning the Eagle' incident. It was frustrating because he had to admit that she had a point, not sharing all information was a bad idea. "Right. That being the case, we can brief the Priscus on the specific details as he requires them." The Ventrue would cooperate, but he certainly didn't like it.
Finally, he nodded at Alicia's suggestions about keeping in contact and coordinating digitally. "I'm always wary of committing... sensitive information to text. However, so long as we are all cautious and thoughtful in what we actually type, I think some kind of group text or chat group would be an asset for this investigation. You both already have my phone number, so feel free to use it."
Since Albert has been more or less absent for a little bit, I figured it might be easier to describe bringing him up to speed narratively than to engage in dialogue. Let me know if you disagree.
