Circle of creation

The Circle of Creation is the gathering hub for all Pentacle mages in the Sacramento Consilium, with chapter houses for all five Orders inside.

Located east of Sacramento and far outside the prying eyes of the inner city, the Circle of Creation awaits the mages of Sacramento. Despite being a replica of the Westminster Abbey, the sleepers who come by never seem to notice it. The wards built into the structure have made sure of this. To all but the Pentacle the Circle is essentially invisible, ensuring the safety of those who enter and engage with one another. Whether it had always been here for the Awakened was hard to say now, but it was the site that the Awakened gather to mingle and discuss official matters.

Today is for official business. The Awakened gather to announce, discuss, and deliberate on the most pressing issues facing the concilium. In this light the Circle is almost imposing, as it's enormity and importance seem to accentuate the gravity of the issues the Awakened face. Today maybe a day for heated debate and final judgment. For proclamations and newfound awareness. Ultimately though, today is what the Awakened choose to make of it.

As a reminder, Consilium is the official meeting but business should not be handled until after the first seven days. This is to give everyone a chance to enter the thread without missing anything. After seven days the thread is closed to new arrivals and the official business may commence.

[Corn]

Corn arrives at the Circle, dressed in somber colors and warm clothes for the weather.
"Good morning everyo... " he says before looking around at the empty seats. Then checks his watch. "Yeap, I am early." he muses and sets down to an empty seat waiting for his peers.

[Eulogy]

Eulogy strode in wearing his usual smart suit. He glanced around the almost empty room easily spotting Corn. With a smile and a wave he quickly diverted his direction to approach his fellow Moros. "Hey, How are you doing today? Nice to see you here."

He paused to look around then added. "So you think anything interesting is going to happen today?" he said conversationally.

[Crystal]

It's Consilium time yet again! Although there probably wasn't anything earth-shattering to discuss, Crystal acknowledged that it was useful to keep tabs on all of Sacramento's known Mages and have the opportunity to clear any grievances. Or start a witch-hunt, whatever.

He had decided to wear Burberry today - although this designer has always left him wondering why people paid so much for a few yards of plaid fabric. He entered the Circle and was among the first to enter. "Councilor Eulogy, what a pleasure to see you." A playful glint appeared in Crystal's eyes - the formal greeting juxtaposed by the fact that they were Cabal mates. Oh well, it was the time to be official Councilors first, friends second.

"Hello Daduche Corn. I hope you are as well as ever." He chose a seat near, but not next to, Corn to potentially chime in on the small-talk until official business had begun.

[Aurora]

Did she plan on going to the meeting this month? Nope.

She didn’t feel like it, as all the previous ones had been, well, uneventful and forgettable.

Oh well. It was an official one, which meant showing up was kinda important. Maybe not as much for her, but she wanted to support Guru.

A new suit was picked, well, not new-new, but new for her. Shopping thrift stores was still a thing.
But you know what? The pink suit looked damn good on her, she pulled it off. Maybe it was her confidence? Or maybe it was she simply didn’t care what anyone thought. Scratch that, she cared about what one thought, but even that was starting to wane.

Long legs carry her into the building and towards those already gathered. Sipping from a to-go cup, she raised her free hand in a silent wave. As she got closer, cup lowered, there was a smile, maybe a bit forced as she found herself a place to sit.

“Hey.” Was all the Shaman had to say, content with her coffee for now.

[Guru]

It was that time again, the tie hugging his neck. Going more black-tie affair for the day. No baked goods for this meeting, no looking for a seat. Instead he gave a big wave to everyone when he walked in. A subdued half smile on his face as he took a deep breath. Sticking to the front of the room, taking a moment to share a look with his cabal mates and fellow councilors. He still felt like he was in well over his head. "Hope everyone is doing well. " The present company did a lot to help ease his nerves, knowing they were all people who cared about and supported him. That half smile growing to it's normal brightness.

[Viggo]

Viggo made his way to the Circle, dressed a little better than usual in black slacks, a navy-blue button up, and a black tie all under a black suit jacket. So what if it was off the rack? He'd have worn his dress blues, but that was a bit more information than he was willing to share currently.

He had met all but one face in attendance this particular night. "Hello everyone, I hope you're all well." He said, offering a general deep nod of the head to show respect, having not seen his own Councilor yet.

[Puck]

You're not late if the doors are still unlocked. "Sup." Everybody gets a smile and a chinup. Puck is once again as dressed up as he's getting for this. Eyes flow over the mystagogues, lingering on the hot pink because wow. It's barely a second before Puck remembers himself and turns his attention to Viggo. "I'm Puck. Libertine and Acanthus councilor." What's with all the new faces? Did someone invite a cabal over? It's been to long to be the San Fran Summoners, so Puck's got nothing. Oh yeah, he should talk about that at some point today.

[Crystal]

Crystal greeted every arriving Mage, Guru and Puck with a bit more formality - it was a formal meeting, they were Councilors.

Speaking of formal meeting: where was ev er y bo dy ? Had something happened or had they really just been slacking off too much lately? Because even when things were quiet - they should keep traditions and laws like that for when things got dicey. "Anybody hear from Phoenyx?" She was the missing Councilor, so the Talon was first priority - and the most diligent.

Since there were technical problems I'd say we leave the doors open until the end of Monday - that gives both weekend- and workday-posters a chance to join.

[Aurora]

It was hard not think Guru looked good in his suit. Cause, yeah, he did. And she found herself quickly shifting her eyes elsewhere.

“Not too bad, yourself?” wait, no cookies or cake?! Why is there no treats? Treats made these meetings more bearable. This sucked.

Looking as the new guy walked in, which was good, maybe he was going to stick around. A rare occurrence around here.

“Surviving. You?” and she had coffee. That helped. Baked goods would have helped more, but, yeah.

A nod to Puck. Despite her issues with the guy, he was still a Councilor and earned some degree of respect.

As Crystal mentioned Phoenyx , the Shaman shrugged and pulled out her cell, shooting a quick text to the Arrow. Just a quick hey…coming to the meeting? It wasn’t like her to not be here. Should she worry?
