It take about an hour for Marcus to re-trace their steps and find the archway that led them into this place and all the while, the Hedge seems to react to their passing presence by ebbing and flowing with every step they make, small gusts of winds passing them by.
Its almost as if the Hedge is alive and breathing.

Curiouser and curiouser...
Marcus gives the Brambles a sideways look as he finds the gateway, but realizes that it is a mystery that will have to wait for another day. Focusing his Wyrd energy, he tries to force the gate open, but fails. Focusing his emotions into a sharp lance of Anger, he expends a mote of Glamour to open the doorway back to the other side.
"Knock, knock..."

The archway shimmers and the sewer proper comes into view as does the familiar stench the sewer brings.

"I should learn that trick sometime..." Xerxia mutters in intrigue, stepping through the gate back into the sewer system.
Faith follows, throwing one last worried look behind the group. Then she's too busy holding her nose to really pay attention, and she goes back through the sewers, with the others. Hang in there nose, only a few more minutes...

The trio of victorious Hedge beast hunters return to the mundane world, climbing through the manhole several streets away. As ever, time can be a weird and strange thing within the Briars and have yet to learn what has occured in the freehold, and their own Court, since venturing on their quest.
