Mental flash. They were going to a morgue right? Would always be handy to have someone with medical credentials right?
"Yo, reckon we should call @Miach in on this? He's a doctor ain't he? I think he's like, upstairs somewhere, and I wanna give everyone some soul armour before we go."
I watch the other listening with attention to what is said.
"Yeah, i reckon it might be a good idea, having the good Miach joining us. Regarding the Arcana, I might say mine are not very different from yours, dear Wayland. Let's say same city, different avenues... Never been a fan of Death. Anyway, it should suffice for our purpouses."

Wayland absently nods to himself. It would be good to get out as a group and involved in the city's issues. "Awesome. Well I'll give Miach a call. Maybe you two can like, work out what preps you need before we go."
Fishing his phone out of his pocket, he dials the number in his phone under the contact of "Doc M. The big H."

Under the lights and shadows of the Workshop, the two Moros and Faust looked like a Cabal indeed, in the ancient witching meaning of the word. Miach grinned as he joined the male members of the Steel Phoenix. He was glad they had Varyx with them, if only because it brought diversity, and they all needed that, but it seemed she wasn't part of today's event, whatever it may be.
"Hey gents, how are you doing ? So what's up ?" he said nonchalantly, though he guessed it wouldn't last.
As I move to greet the newcomer I greet Miach witha kind smile.
"Doc, glad to have you in the gang. We are going to have a look at the dead in the Morgue."
A small quick pause and a quick look, especially toward the doctor.
"Perhaps, it is an hypothesis, it would be better if we went there with Miach's features well hidden. if I remember well, we talked about it before." A quick smile to Miach and Faust.

Enter the Hearthmaster. "Sup bro. Glad you could be here man. We're like, gonna go see what we can find out about the dead dudes from the College at the morgue." Wayland was glad he was here. It would be good to have Varyx along as well, like, for the Mind stuff, but ohh well.
"Before we go to check it out though, I kinda wanted to make sure we had some protections ready. Mainly, soul protection, considering the ass-hats those dead dudes were hangin' with."
The space in the workshop would make a decent casting area. There were a few items already here that resonated with his Path, and while Pelican couldnt help him in the casting of the spell, he would be able to help set up.
Faust gave Miach an appreciative nod as he entered the room, but let the greeting of the others act as his words on the subject. "Wayland had the excellent idea of checking with you to see if you knew the best way to get in to see the, uh. . . stiffs." The last word sounded uncomfortable, as if he couldn't think of the appropriate euphemism for the dead and so grabbed at something to fill the gap. "I'm sure we could use your help with the rest of the investigation too, if you have the time?"

So, it was about the investigation regarding the dead Banishers... Miach sighed slowly as he made the final steps to join the other Awakened. Could he really be helpful ? Probably, yes. Did he want to go with them, though ? Taking pincers that were laying nearby, the Acanthus toyed with them a couple of seconds before heaving. "Right, I'm in."
he was but another tool, but what if it was the tool that could keep them all alive ? He was no fighter, far from it. But nor was he as powerless as he had once been. It might even be enough to make a difference. He'd just have to get his gun, just in case...
As for his connections to the morgue, they were slim, but they might just be enough to get him leave to check a corpse. He'd need to make a couple calls first, though.

"So the team is ready, do we want to do a small recon trip around there to see who is around?"
I look at the others with a a kind smile.

Recon. That seemed the best place to start. No point walking into something you know nothing about. Stack the deck in your favor yo. He'd been to many drug deals that went south because some ass-clown didnt check the place out first. But those were during his younger days before his Awakening. Still, it might pay to get in contact with the local gangs and make some contacts.
"Yeah bro. Lets recon the crap outta it. But, before we go, do we need any like, Protections cast first? I'd like to think that shit won't go south, but I ain't that lucky yo." He'd been shot once before. It was like, the worst pain ever. Even more than gettin' kicked in the nads.
