A dog. Wonderful. And a big one, too. On the plus side, Rina would probably be able to cut it in half before it made a move. The Shadow lines herself with the door, keeping her blade sheathed. She takes a step back, readies herself, then steps forward, raising her leg and bringing it slamming down against the door, right below the lock. The impact most likely wouldn't open it on the first try, but that wasn't expected. It never did.
Growling or not, Rina certainly wasn't scared of whatever the hell it was beyond the door. The Daeva follows her lead in breaching the obstacle. He aligns himself with the frame delivers a solid shoulder check against it.

Juan and Rina.
The door doesn't give even one inch: either the Kindred are not applying enough force or it is fortified. Either way, it's not going down.
You can roll Wits + Composure -2. On success you realise that the dogs seem to be gone.
Edwin and Konrad
After getting back your stuff, the two of you ascend the stairs and get into the house proper. The light coming from outside casts slanted shadows around the room where most of the furniture is covered up with white sheets. Unlike the basement where everything looked used, if bloody, this place seems to have been neglected for a very long time. You can smell dust even without having to breathe. Tracks have been made in the dirt, coming from the hall opposite you and towards the stairs leading down.
Pictures on the walls are mostly of a family: an earnest if somewhat tired man, a blond woman and a girl of about five years. You recognise a much younger Armond in the man after waling by one of the pictures.
Suddenly the surroundings seem much less interesting as faint growling is heard, rapidly approaching. Karl has only the time to say 'Fuck, something woke them' before three large dogs walk into the room. The biggest of the three eyes Karl wearily before turning his head to the Kindred and growling threateningly. Something seems off, though, in the unsure way the dogs start to circle you.
With a Wits + Animal Ken you can realise that the dogs recognise Karl and probably aren't trained to attack people coming out of the basement. Then you can attempt Pre + Animal Ken to calm them down or Pre + Intimidate to scare them. For less obvious options, PM me.
Oh fun, thinks Konrad as the three dogs enter his line of vision. Konrad draws on his supply of Vitae to Blush, giving his body a semblance of life so as to seem less alien to the animals. He can tell that Karl has some relationship with the dogs since they react differently to him, but since Konrad and Edwin were strangers they don't receive any such special treatment.
"Relax, fellas, there's a good boy," says Konrad in what he hopes to be a calming tone. The last thing they want is to have to fight their way through three angry dogs and wake up the neighborhood in the process.

Fucking great. Dogs.
The tattooist had never been an animal lover. In fact, he knew fuck all about them. Sure, one time he tried feeding from a snake as a dare in his more raucous early years, but then again, everyone was doing it. Ozzy once bit the head of a bat, right? Eddie had known of some of his cousins who could control animals with the blood but it wasn't anything that he himself had ever been interested in developing.
More the fucking pity.
Despite his trepidation with the big fucking dogs, Edwin caught that they were not overly fussed by the mortal's presence. Keeping as still as he could, he let Konrad do the talking for now and become their next meal. He'd raise his voice only when necessary and only to try and scare the fucking things away.

Well, the dogs were gone. At least that meant she wouldn't have to deal with them, once the door came down. Which it would. Rina took a step back and ran forward again, slamming her shoulder into the door.

Whatever was on the other side was gone now. After Rina charged at the door, Juan contributed his attempt toward it. He stepped back, aligned his shoulder and charged at again.

Fast-forwarding things a bit to get to the interesting stuff.
Konrad is smart enough to put Karl between himself and the dogs while calming them which results in the beasts half-growling half-whimpering in confusion before they sit on their haunches as one, looking somewhat hurt and confused. Karl, showing the first real human emotion since Kindred woke up, makes a few steps out into the kitchen and returns with three bone-shaped dog treats which he throws to the animals:
"There you go, who's a good dog?" - the dogs let him pet them as they chew frantically, having forgotten all about the intruders, - "I kinda been sucking up to them for a while. Armond is just a terrible master".
Eventually, the dogs stalk away somewhere, probably to continue their nap, and the Karl and the Kindred decide to address the banging on the front door which isn't doing any real damage but is loud like hell. After recognising Juan and making sure Armond is nowhere to be seen, Karl opens the way for them:
"Are you the cavalry?" - his face is back to the faintly amused mask he's been wearing all night now.
You are all at the opened front door, the dogs have stalked away.
Konrad looks sort of awkward in his hastily chosen sweat pants and hoodie. He's blushed with an extra layer of pinkness around his hands and face that might've been hastily cleaned blood to a suspicious person.
Seeing Rina and Juan surprises him. How had they tracked him down here? Juan must have come to after his date with Rotschreck and called an Invictus agent to assist him. The fact that it is Rina brings him a sense of relief mingled with the growl of his Beast.
"It's good to see you guys," he says with a smirk. "How'd you find us? Actually, on second thought, we don't really have much time to talk. Armond just left a little while ago with his thug, and Karl here just made a deal with us in exchange for helping us escape. Long story short, Armond is capturing our kind and interrogating us for information and then siphoning them off when he's done with them. He might come back soon, but he knows our weaknesses and he took Eddie and me out." With Karl's help, I might add, but let's not complicate things.
"We're not really fit for a fight, but Karl here is pretty handy with a blade. And he might be able to get close enough to catch him by surprise and we can all jump him at once. Or we can get the hell outta here and come back better prepared. Either way we're definitely dealing with deep shit here."
A look to Karl. "You said you were ready to take Armond out, right?"
