Gangsta Kid doesn't move like a chump toward the money right away. She ain't no fool. She waits. And when Nous sets her half-in-advance, half-after terms? She grins. Gangsta Style. Lotta teeth. "Aiiiight, lady. You know what's what." She accepts the first half, stuffs it in her Gangsta Pocket (read: pant pocket), and puts her feet on the ground. "Why you starin' at me, yo?" Dirty gangsta look. The stare meant nothing to her, nothing but disrespect, but whatever. Girl was payin'.
Girl also realized that Gangsta Kid was in fact a Sleeper.
"Later, cracka'," she calls after Cut. "Man, yo' boy there doesn't talk much, do he? He an' Alejandro here might get along good." Thumb over shoulder, aimed at her buddy, who was also texting. "They can text to each other and shit."
"Name's Shaniqua, son. Let's talk turkey. I got a new ride to buy. So cops are all up in this place. Wires down. Dude's fuckin' dead-as-nails right there, right over there," she said, pedaling on over to a spot in the middle of the road. Fuck cars. Cars could move for Shaniqua. Her buddy Alejandro stopped texting for a moment, pedaled on over to a similar position behind and slightly to her left, and then resumed texting. "Right here." She stomped her little foot right on the spot.
The spot was right beneath the powerline, a few yards from the nearby pole. Like if you had severed the line, where it would have naturally fell. "This was where that dead white boy was. Cops all over the fuckin' place. I heard them sayin' something 'bout a name. Something Harris. Like that funny cracka on How I Met Your Mother. I think they wuz referring to the dead guy. Dead as a doornail. Heard 'em talking about the powerline having come down, but having no idea why. Fuckin' weird."
