'James' looks around the room, trying to figure out from which direction the sound came from, but he nods at her question. "Honestly I think if I repeated half of what I've heard, no one would believe me."

Penderson smiled and nodded, leading them into the living room. "No, I suppose not. It's kind of crazy, huh? I guess I saw something I shouldn't have, something I'm having a lot of trouble getting my head around. Lightning out of his hands... where'd you find out about it?"
A look crossed her face, like she'd forgotten something. "Where are my manners? Please, have a seat. Can I get you two anything? A glass of water, or some tea, maybe?"
"Mandy told me about it." Said James, winging it. "I could do with some water." He didn't actually want the water, but he could use the time she spent with her back to him to give her a quick scrutiny to make sure she was human.
"I was telling a friend where I'd moved, and she went a little ballistic about some stuff she'd read online," Mandy looked thoughtful. "She's sorta into that neopaganism stuff, so I mean, if there's truth to it...? I just thought it was another one of her tangents."
Leah disappeared into the kitchen. "Oh, yeah?"
A cupboard opened. A cup came out. Water. Was. Poured.
It disappeared out of Autolycus's line of sight for a few seconds. Leah Penderson moved around back there.
Then, she brought it out and offered Auto the glass with a smile. "So Mandy told you about it, but if you'd heard a ton about it..." She paused. It all was so odd. Why was she excited about this?
Her smile didn't fade. "I mean, I don't believe in coincidence. So. How did you learn about me?"
Something Scary
James shrugs. "Once Mandy gets something on her mind, that's all she'll talk about for awhile. I'm not gonna get down on someone when they get excited about something." James swirls the water around in his glass for a moment, then takes a small sip.
"Oh hush!" Mandy seemed to pout a bit at 'James' at his words. "You know how Becca can be when she gets on about her new-age-y stuff and then I get paranoid!" she turned her gaze to the officer, shaking her head a bit.
"Anyway, I don't know anything about coincidence, just that this ended up in my mailbox and I haven't really interacted with other people in the building much, yet." Mandy shrugged lightly. "I didn't expect you'd actually like... seen something. I just thought since you were an officer in the building, maybe you knew something about it and could verify that it was nonsense..."
Oh but it wasn't nonsense at all. "Is this Thor dude still on the loose?"

Leah Penderson's slight smile, reflecting her excitement, never left her face. There was just a flash of understanding in her eyes, as she really, truly realized what she thought was going on here. Of course, she'd never know the real truth. She was a Sleeper - could she ever understand, truly?
Still, this much was true: things were rarely so clear for the police officer.
She simply whistled, and there was a shift as her hand snapped to her belt --
