If she was being honest, clothes and colors of said clothes wasn’t really her thing. So she had nothing to add to that.

An absent nod, “Games are always fun.” Though she doesn’t know who jenga girl is.

“Will be nice to see some others stepping up to try their hands at grilling.” Numbers were smaller this time, but that was ok.

Nodding, “They were very good, very well done.” Complimenting Chambers.

Looking to Thirteen, “Oh, that is cold. Ours are not that cold, at least, not that I am aware of. Never experienced a lake that cold. Do they limit or make swimming illegal in there for that reason? Or is it one of those things where they just tell people to be careful?” maybe near the shore?

[Chambers]

Seems like the cook out was a done deal to happen then circumstances permitting. "Lower numbers at the moment who knows by August." The fluctuations had been noticed and the reasons not always ideal. "And it will be good to see more step up to the plate." A pun, the Moros must be in a decent mood today. "I have a title to defend after all." A hint of actual mirth creeping in, he didn't take the contest to seriously but he did have fun with it.

The Uk was colder then than California in general but he wasn't about to get into a who had it colder wit ha Scot, the futility of that exercise is well documented.

[Thirteen]

"Well, I'll be sure to bring something to this cookout, whenever it might be. Can't say I know how to grill anything. This Consilium certainly likes it's food and social events," Thirteen commented. Perhaps because it was smaller?

She looked at Chambers amusedly, "And what is that title? King of the Grill?"

The Libertine turned her eyes back towards Aurora, "Maybe that's why there's so many private swimmin' pools in California? They're warmer than the ocean?"

[Skye]

Playing a string on an air guitar.
”My guitar is ready and waiting, did not build it for nothing. Although I have been looking into getting an electric one as well.” I wonder where would be good to get one. ”On that note.” Looking Between Chambers and Aurora before shaking her head. ”No never mind.”

”Yeah they work to an extent, but they tend to create contrasts where the clothes take over instead in my experience.” Rolling her eyes with an innocent whistle, letting it slowly lessen in sound before making a pretend jump forward with raised arms like a tiger but not moving more than an inch. ”Boo” Shaking her head. ”pretty much. Have scared some of my siblings and people in general over the years with my appearance alone at the right circumstances.” A proper story, presence and moment all worked quite well together.

A look over to Aurora.
”The hard part is just getting people to play them, have any favorite ones?” Looking over to the other two. ”Do you have any nice from your corners of the world that you could recommend?”

”King of the Grill? Damn here I was certain it was Stone Dragon after the giant spatula.”

[Aurora]

A shrug, “Lower numbers mean a more intimate gathering.” An eyebrow was raised at the pun, and she chuckles, “Never expected a pun from you, but well played.” Thinking a moment, “We could also include a bake off or something. Some aren’t big into grilling, but enjoy things like baking, from what I’ve seen at other meetings. Maybe we could have something for them to participate in, let them have a moment to shine.” Was an idea.

“The whole grilling thing is new, we only started it last year. Just something to try and bring everyone together and have a way to just kind of relax. Have a bit of fun. Because we deserve a bit of fun too.” She always believed that.

A pause, “You know, that very well could be. Or maybe some people don’t like the ocean.”
Shrugging, “I like both, but I would pick the ocean over a pool if I had a choice. Plus, my hair looks amazing when it air dries from the salty ocean water.” Well, it did.

“Favorite what? Games?” a shake of her head, “No, not really. I play what sounds good at the time and what I’m in the mood for.”

[Chambers]

That was a good question from Thirteen. "Well we never did settle on anything specific but sure that works." And if it bought out some friendly competition then why not. King of the grill made a little more sense then Skye's suggestion. "The spatula was just a prize I made an a little glibly at that." It was a touch on the nose for sure.

Aurora gives voice to something he had noticed, a change brought on by advancing circumstances. "I used to be pretty good with the puns but well that seems to have trailed off." Be mounting responsibility, attempts at a more professional demeanour it just something he had lost in amongst everything else going on the puns were a rare thing now.

[Thirteen]

She looked at the Arrow, a tad surprised. "Guitar? Didn't know you played, Skye. Are you going to serenade us at this next cookout?"

Thirteen nodded towards Aurora, "Makes sense, aye. Smaller group would... eh?" She seemed confused by the comment. "Pun?" Had she made one? A quick mental review and it dawned on her. "Oh. Oh!" The Acanthus shook her head, a touch embarrassed. "That was accidental." She wasn't really a pun person.

A shrug of her shoulders. "What's not to love about the ocean, aside from swimmin' in fish piss and steppin' on jellyfish and sand gettin' in your buttcrack?"

Brown eyes shifted towards Chambers, "Well, then... glad I could contribute the title." Happy accident, perhaps?

[Skye]

A surprised look given to her councilor at the revelation.
”You let saltwater air dry without rinsing it off?” Blinking in surprise. ”And your hair does not take damage from it? Mine gets furious at me from to prolonged exposure.”

Tilting her head ever so slightly with a little look at the Hierarch, her jest clearly having been missed.
”It looked fun, and was a fun memory, never expected you to bring something so completely impractical in such a way. Would have loved to see it used just for the fun of it though.”

Instantly shifting into pose with a flicker on an air guitar.
”Of course, have any requests? I have this absolutely amazing acoustic guitar, just perfectly curved and designed for my frame, it feels amazing in the hands, my fingers just flies over it. Do have been thinking of looking into an electric one as well.” Looked like a good way to expel some pent up emotions.

A bit disappointed her question had been ignored by the two just looking back to Aurora.
”Will just have a group ready then, always used to play kubb but my siblings always forced me to play with my off hand.”

[Aurora]

“Yeah, I don’t remember a title ever being settled on, but you won, so it can be whatever you decide.” She says with a happy smile. Still not unhappy she lost. Competition wasn’t something she was into. “You really did a great job on it.” She was sure she had told him that when she saw it last year…right?

Chuckling, “Used to be? Seems like you’re still good at them, keep ‘em up!” puns could be fun, she wasn’t good at them, nope.

“Hey, those are all part of the charm of the ocean! You get the fish piss in the lakes too.” She adds with a laugh. “The sand is a going away present, so you remember your time at the beach.” She adds with a wink.

Blinking at Skye, “No…why would it take damage? I’ve never had my hair take damage, but my hair is healthy. Any time I plan on spending time at the beach, I have hair oils I use to protect my hair from drying out. The salt can dry your hair out if you’re not careful.” It was about being prepared before you went and after.

“Sorry, never heard of the game.”

[Chambers]

A shrug he did enjoy a bit of healthy competition but that where he found the fun of it, winning was just a bonus. "I'm not rightly fussed although king of the grill is a little presumptuous." Both that he would win and that he was able to eat true masters, sure he good cook and dam well with just about anything but he was far from as good as he could be.

A shake of the head is his response for sticking with the puns. "The odd organic one her or there sure but somewhere along the way I fell harder into the stereotypes of a Moros and the humour seems to have been a causality." They just didn't come to mind like they once did, although what exactly had been the catalyst for the increased seriousness was something he should contemplate on.

The spatula was a great example. "No I don't know why I id that if I'm being honest. We had spoken of it as a contest but in good fun and I just tired to fit the prize to the event." Grills and spatulas they went hand in hand as best as the Necromancer was aware.
