(2504) April Consilium

[Salem]

The Warlock Councilor is one of the last to arrive. He might be well versed in connections and math but time is something that seems to elude him. He arrives dressed in a pair of khaki pants and a tweed vest over a dress shirt. He looks a bit ashamed at having arrived so late, but makes a quick circuit of greetings to all of the other gathered mages. He notes that there are some faces still not arrived yet and he is surprised by that. The lack of either Theurgist is noted, if perplexing, but that's not truly his concern at the moment.

He gives a nod of greeting in particular to his other Libertines before making a circuit of the other Councilors. He snags himself a small bowl of soup before the true business of the day is going to take place.

[Eidolon]

Eidolon smiled warmly at Asclepius as he extended the page. "Thanks, I appreciate that. Looks like I walked in at just the right time then." He took the offered sheet.


He then nodded to Chambers, returning the quirked eyebrow with a slight grin. "Yeah, well, better late than never, right? And thanks, I figured some folks might need a little something to help them through the afternoon. I brought White Claws and Liquid Death, so you can pick between non-alcoholic and alcoholic."


Skye's casual greeting earned a friendly wave back. He noticed her internal sigh regarding the drink selection but didn't comment, figuring she likely had her own preferences. "Mind if I sit next to you?" Eidolon asks before taking a seat next to Skye.


He gave Thirteen a nod in acknowledgement of her greeting.


Guru's arrival also earned a nod from Eidolon.

[Asclepius]

Seeing more and more flow into the room as the meeting was to soon begin he gave a silent nod to Cavendish, it seemed to him that Cavendish was in a little haste to put down the items they was carrying, thus he did not want to interrupt Cavendish more then the nod.

A Light laugh as Chambers had missed his title, seemingly remembered by Skye's mentioning of it. “Fear Not Hierarch, I don't think I have been vocal about it and neither was there any offence taken.“ You can not speak on what you do not know, so how can I complain about such things if I wanted to. “Indeed there is always a new mountain to climb, but we are not beings of perfection and thus means we always will have improvements to work on. My newest mountain to scale is learning a new language, among other tasks.” He smiles to the Hierarch and a slight nod to him. “Thank you for your well wishes, I return the sentiments with your future project and/or self improvements.”

A curious look is given to Skye, he could not help but notice the look she was giving about the room. “We did but in some way I figured you planned for that, oh? Safety concern? I am therefore glad that it was taken care with unhindered then.” I don't dare ask as I have not been told and probably won't be told here. “I do as well, just to make sure I did not miss remember any of the details given in the meetings, if nothing else.”

His attention drawn to Skye and Thirteens conversation as his name is mentioned. “I heard my name? I did nothing, I swear!” He says in a jovial manner to keep the mood light.

Thirteen's comment made him nod in agreement. “Yes all too true, I am no doubt sure that even under the strictest control, it has a tenancy to go wild when you least want it to.” His lack of knowledge on the control of fate left him with little details to go into on the matter.

Seeing Guru walk in, He is greeted with a smile. “Guru, good to see you man. You are not wrong, no doubt I will have to give it a couple of reads to fully take all this info in properly.” He finished his sentence with a laugh. I am glad he made it this time.

Salem's entrance was noted as he hurried himself around giving his greetings. He is given a nod and a smile as a silent greeting, as he did not want to disturb his circuit of greetings to the councillors.

A Slight chuckle to Eidolon's words as the page is passed. “I suppose the only bad time to arrive is when the doors are shut I guess. I pray that doesn't happen to me, no doubt Skye will be spamming my phone looking for me.” He laughed and joked but this would one hundred percent happen he figured.

[Chambers]

The doors to Consilium are officially closed!

Skye seems focused today or maybe the topic is what is doing it. "We will see of we will not. Maybe someone skilled in fate or time might be able to divine answers." At least enough to offer peace of mind.

Thirteens sentiment is not unusual cooking skills seemed to be out of mind for many. "Is it ever something you've considered learning?" Just curious.

Guru arrives and bows, sending another wave of uncomfortable shivers down his spine. "Guru good to see you." Hey he made this time so that was something. "The cake looks delicious." No disputing that.

Witch confirming she had not suffered any trouble gets a warm smile. "I'm glad to hear it." And being short on numbers as they were it would be foolish to turn down help. "If your up for it your experience on the matter would be greatly valued." Because well who better then the mage that had brought it all to their attention.

Salem arrives in the nick of time and his greeting is returned.

Eidolons statement is still confusing him because the warlock had not been late. "It is appreciated." Cutting off the conversation there before it gets more confusing.

Asclepius not taking offence was fortuitous. "That's gracious thank you." Still it would not be forgotten again. "A new language? always a useful skill to develop." And seeing mages working on themselves was always a good thing.

But then with the time upon the hierarch picks out the book used for the recording of notes and intones high speech to split the focus of his mind.

And the imago still fails to form which was just shocking. A breath is taken, an attempt to refocus and rid himself of distractions.

Finally the spell takes. All having taken far more of a taxing demand then it usually did.

The supernal script formed much more easily as mana is channelled from his pattern into the words invisible to those without the sight to see the truth.

That had been much harder the nit needed to be still perseverance had it done. "As you all know." Addressing the gathered mages. "Over the last year I have been working with various mages." A nod given to Aurora as the predominant contributor. "To reinstate a charter and make the Consilium officially recognised once again rather then being simply a group of pentacle mages that meet up in the same place." A subtle but key difference. "Today that Charter comes into effect." It taken a while but anything worth doing did. "Spend your time today familiarising yourself with its contents, asking any questions that arise and clarifying anything you need to." Like all changes it needed time to set in even with an idea as thoroughly seeded as the charter had been.

And with that Chambers walks towards the courtyard close enough to be approached and provided oversight if needed but far enough to let the mages explore and question without having a heavy hand pressing on their necks.

[Cavendish]

Greetings and acknowledgements are returned as the Ladder watches mages filter in and gather. Today should be an interesting day. Seeing Chambers make his way to the courtyard Cavendish slides over next to the food table. Both to make up for a lost meal and to be around if questions arise there.

"Erm, not really," she answered Chambers' question. Cooking was not a skill she had spent any real time worrying about. Truthfully, she could cook if she wanted to, it simply hadn't come up often.

The Enchantress watched as the Hierarch made his big pronouncement about the new Charter and then... he sort of wandered off to the courtyard. She was confused. Was that it? She'd been expecting things to be more formal. The Atlanteans loved their pomp and circumstance, from what she'd experienced back home.

Looking about, Thirteen shrugged and went to the food tables.

[Witch]

Witch lingered in the main area after Chambers finished speaking, watching as a few slowly drifted to different locations.

It was likely a good sign that a crazy uproar hadn't gone up, immediate demands of clarifications and adjustments.
But also ... the number of folks who hadn't been involved in the drafting and review process was barely larger than the number of those who had. So, was it really a surprise?

Glancing toward the courtyard, she considered following her path mate out there. But as she saw the drift of smoke rise above his head, she opted to stay inside. Listening to what little conversation could be heard.

[Aurora]

She had watched and listened, observed how the rest of the gathered reacted, or didn’t, to the Charter.

Figuring there would be questions, either for Chambers, or maybe, even herself, she elects instead of following the Hierach, to remain where she was and pour herself a beer.

Some could be intimidated by the title, at least, that had been her experience in the past, not that she thought anyone here would be. But either way, she finds herself a place where she could be seen, and sits, open for discussion. About, well, anything. But she was there.

[Skye]

Letting out an internal sigh of relief whilst showing a grand smile upon her lips seeing Guru arrive, his late arrival having almost made her worry she would not be seeing him here once again, something she would not have liked to come to pass.

Simply smiling with a light nod at Witch´s words not wanting to get lost in small talk as the meeting was to commence.

A light wave to Salem as he arrived.
”Good to see you councilor, I hope the day finds you well?”

Shaking her head towards Eidolon.
”Of course not, although I do not know how still I will be today.”

Looking over the room once more.
”I did, but we still cut it a bit closer than I had hoped for.” A brief nod. ”Only a personal one, and nothing major but one that needed to be sorted. I can tell you all about it later if need arises. It is not exactly a secret.” True not words she wanted to widespread but this kind of manner might make others lose interest if anyone would be having any that is.

Listening to Chambers words before standing up with a deep breath as people began to spread around, having a word to keep.
”In accordance with the new charter I hereby wish to declare my sanctum as a solitaire, my sanctum is located at "insert longitude and latitude". Many of you have visited it before, these” Fishing up a note with a flower petal drawn upon it, having been privy that this was a possibility meant that she had taken the time to prepare just in case. ”will be carved upon trees in the vicinity to mark my area by the end of the month. I ask anyone whom enters the vicinity to respect the wildlife around the area.”

Looking around, the food table seemed to already be getting a conversation, an her own councilor staying here to go over the charter. Not feeling the need to speak much on it, she had already gained enough of an insight to be able to follow this without any noteworthy issues.

Walking over to Aurora with a nod.
”Thank you for your effort in making this charter come to be.” Waving as she moves over towards the food table, grabbing a couple of carrots and heading out towards the courtyard.

Eidolon looked over the charter. being sure to make note of some things he would like to bring up in the next Free Council meeting. This looks good to me. Now where did he go. Eidolon says as he looks around to where Chambers went.
