    Inaititrve order is: Hercules 13, Philip 12, Witch 7, Corn 7

    If Corn wants to throw an object past Witch he would be at -3 cover penalty


    Philip makes a run into the open he is smart enough to have worked out that space was the basement of the house with a secret exit dug into it, which means the entrance should be somewhere inside the building even now refilling with lethal gas.

    Corn continues to try and assist Witch but the cramped space the obstacle of bodies and angles he just can't get the light to reflect of anything meaningful.

    The gym bro and Witch struggle on ineffectively shove, pull, changing grip making little to no head way in their tussle. But Witch can tell this man is physically stronger, then her, then most people and he is in a better position meaning a prolonged fight is unlikely to end well for her despite her so far heroic efforts to resist the attempt.

    In the back and forth the grip on her shoulders is maintained and he tries to bring her head into the very grill she tries to wield against him.

    On the surface, he ran into the hazardous building, being careful to be as stealthy as he could. But his priority was finding the basement to double team the guy attacking Witch.

    So he attempted to locate the cellar while also staying away from windows towards the street where the crowd was if he could. He knew the risk of the shooter Corn talked about while on the surface remained. And yet, the threat he posed seemed to pale to Philip`s iintention to weaponize the gas leak with his can of hairspray and lighter to provide a serious threat for the guy attacking Witch, despite knowing the hazard to the entire surroundings was bordering on the suicidal.

    But he knew if he could find the cellar, he`d have to get creative in any way that was possible, and that was a daunting thought as he knew he had no knowledge of fist fighting. But he did have knowledge of swords.

    Continuing from "Fight someone..." in the previous post.

    Corn fishes out his medallion, dropping the jury-rigged pen. This would hurt, he knew it would hurt.
    Moving his free arm behind his back as to give the Sleepers a reason to think he would draw out something, he focuses his will. This is not a simple spell.
    He send his will across the Abyss, to enforce his will on the Fallen world, using a bit of mana to make the passage slightly less dangerous.

    Paradox, 3 S, contained

    And he was right. It did hurt. A lot. The abyss rushed to come forward, to reach the world and flayed against Corn trying - and succeeding - to contain it. He did contain the Abyss, this time, but it was not easy nor without sacrifice.
    And the result?
    He held in his hand a tranquilizer gun with a dart that could put down a 400lbs gorilla. However, the connection to this fallen world is tenuous and the presence of Sleepers - if they saw the gun - would very quickly unravel it. So, Corn still holds it behind his gun and away from the Lie-tainted gaze of the Sleepers till it is time to shoot. He just hopes the Abyss, that got such a price from him, would not erase his creation before he could shoot.

    Fighting back wasn't working. And if she had been waiting for the kick in the ass that said to take some self-defense courses ... well ... a grill to the face would do it.

    Corn had said something a few seconds back. Move. Or get out of the way. She couldn't quote it when stars were only starting to fade from flashing in her mind, but she hoped it meant he had something ready.

    Abandoning thoughts of fighting him back, she focused her efforts on escaping his grip.

    Philip moves through the house checking doors and the floor until he comes across a doorway in the main hall that opens onto a set of stairs from which he can hear the sounds of scuffling, curses, the thud of metal on flesh, the fight between the gym bro and witch struggles on below. However he is in a house quickly refilling with gas and it stings his eyes and burns his lungs as he looks around.

    Corn works his mastery to pull something from nothing an act many would say is on par with the stories of gods and in the blink on an eye he holds a loaded dart gun loaded with an simultaneously conjured dart filled with conjured tranquiliser. The price was steep and the risk great but he only needs to get past the disbelief of two sleepers in basement when he shoots for it to work. Not impossible odds.

    Witch with an effort tears the hands from shoulders and is briefly free but with corn behind her in the tunnel and the assailant in front the definition of being between a rock and a hard place seems appropriate.

    Fortunately the angle of the tunnel does make so it is very hard from the gym bro to physically strike at her with conventional punches and kicks and so he is left with the option to try and grab her once more.

    Who once more finds a hand under one arm and a second on her shoulder as he gets her back into his control. "Come here." But it has spared her from further harm for the moment.

    Eventually, he managed to find the way towards the cellar and quickly descended to the place where he could hear the guy fighting with Witch. But on the way, he made a mistake. He failed to take the gas that was filling the house into account and so his senses were quickly being overwhelmed.

    Desperate, he tried to cast Body Control to attempt to regain some sort of control over his breathing but it was not to be, the mana was wasted and Fate would have its` fun, and Philip would suffer for it.

    Should I boost my skill before attempting that hit? Corn thought as he tried to take aim through the fighting. The lack of mana answered that question for him. The danger of the spell unravelling also sped him up, no time to aim when the hunter or Darren could perhaps see the gun and unravel it at any moment. Corn held no illusions about the potency of his spell to remain around.
    I really hate the Abyss... Corn thought and pressed the trigger.

    So freaking close. At least there hadn't been another painful impact of her head to something not pillow soft.

    But there wasn't much else to do except to keep twisting in his grip, trying to slip free and stay free.

    As Philip runs through the house refilling with lethal gas his vision begins to blur the sound of his heartbeat fills his ears and darkness begins to encroach on his sense of consciousness maybe that's why his will working was unable to take hold in the fallen world. As he stumbles down the stairs, coughing and spluttering for clean air, at the edge of consciousness it could yet overwhelm him.

    -3 to dice pools from lack of focus, can't concentrate and can't form coherent words


    Philip needs to make the roll again at -1 for not hitting the required number of Suxx last time and if he fails he falls unconscious


    However by opening the door what he has done is given the gas another place to fill and now one way or another this fight is going to have to end because the gym bro is faced with a nasty situation of trying to run up and out of the house or having to fight through witch and Corn to get to the secret hatch.

    Corn fires his dart in and all or nothing attempt and comes up short as the dart goes wide in his attempt to over compensate for not hitting witch.

    Something about the supernal nature of the creation of the dart brings for the abyssally effect of unravelling the shard of the abyss in every sleeper that when exposed to the truth tries to passively unmake it and while Hercules is to distracted it would seem to pay real attention to what's going on Darren who is very much paying attention sees where the dart lands and and his awareness is enough to unravel the spell, dart and gun both.

    Witch for her part is doing well fending this brute off as he breaks free once more and he in turn is distract by the none to silent arrival of Philip down the stairs turning in reaction to the enchanters arrival. "What the hell?" Used to a fight he might be but his attention span is rather short it would seem.

    Despite the incredible sting from the gasses of the house in the fallen world, Philip managed to reach the cellar. Sure, his lungs burned, his eyes watered and burned, he had serious trouble focusing and couldn`t speak. Sure, his spell had failed, but at least he was still conscious.

    After all, he was finally there, ready to open a second vector of attack against the guy attacking Witch and assist Witch and Corn however he could. Well, in the poor condition Philip was in. After all, he was no fighter or fire fighter. And yet, his achievement to get there and now be in a position to at least somewhat assist Witch and Corn in some limited way, filled him with pride and purpose. Or, well, whatever that amounted to. So, he tried catching his breath, steady himself for his confrontation with the guy in the condition he was in, going closer to the guy as he did so to confront him.
