(2405) Sanctuary

[Aurora]

A nod to one of the new faces, “Welcome Eidolon.” Seemed the FC was growing, good for them.

“A pleasure as well Salem.”

She fully agreed with Witch and what she said. But had already voiced her own thoughts on it and didn’t want to repeat herself.

To Corn, “So you want things sugar coated?” a single nod, “Got it.” She’ll remember that in the future.

Shrugging to Chambers, “I wouldn’t object to adding something like that to the area. It seems it would get good use.”

[Winter]

He shook his head; apparently, the questionnaire was aimed at finding Martyrs. He shrugged, banishing the thought and offering a more friendly facade "Seems our numbers are growing again", he remarked.

[Eidolon]

Eidolon contemplated Philips words once more. He is probably just being cautious. Eidolon though. "Yes, I will promise to defend the circle you do not have anything to worry about. I may be a right bastard, but you can count on me to be available if you need me." Eidolon paused for a moment, "And I did not want to sound like a gossip, just wanted to be sure that there was anything I needed to know before I made the rounds. It seemed to be getting pretty heated when I walked in which is why I asked." Eidolon waited a moment for Philip to answer before making the rounds to his new associates.


Stopping at the one who called himself Chambers, "Ah yes glad to meet another who walks that path. I have a former mentor who taught me a bit about your path and the arcana of death. And if your abilities with the arcana is as anywhere as good as your cooking I may come to you for some lessons." Eidolon waited a moment for Chambers to answer before heading to the one that called herself Aurora.


"Thank you for the welcome. Hope to work with you in the future." Eidolon than approached the one named Witch, "Name is Eidolon if you did not catch it. Nice to meet you, you seem to be one of the quiet ones. Not that there is an issue with that." After giving Witch a moment to answer he moved to Winter "Pleasure to meet you as well."

[Salem]

Salem glances towards Witch at the movement as she settles onto her heels but doesn't say anything, just a human gaze reacting to movement. He does turn slightly towards Corn when the mage approaches to grab himself some of the fare that his fellow Mystagogue had made for the gathering. "That's a good and admirable quality to have." Maybe something you should learn too.

He looks towards his own fellow Libertines for a moment, watching Eidolon get his Acknowledgment amongst the Circle, something he's scheduled to do in a few days time himself. His attention returns to Chambers as he smiles. "Well, my compliments. You definitely succeeded at that."

His watch buzzes and he lifts his wrist up to peer at it for a moment. He glances up and around. "It was nice meeting you all but I have an appointment I need to make. I will hopefully see you all around soon?" he offers, finishing up the last of the pastry before wiping his hands clean. He glances to Philip and smiles. "See you in a couple of days," he says before taking his leave with a small wave to everyone. He'd done what he came here for. He got to meet some, if not all of the local mages and now he was approaching the limit of his social spoons. Too many new names and faces all at once can be a bit of a daunting task, even with a memory as trained as his. He makes his way out of the Circle.

[Witch]

Witch watched Eidolon's approach and tried not to smile at the image his circling the room presented. "Pleasure to meet you Eidolon, Witch." It was hard but she just barely managed to not add a wry 'if you did not catch it.'

As far as his comment about her being quiet, she didn't say anything. Why spoil it after all? And it wasn't the first time a similar veined comment had been made.

Glancing toward Winter she gave a small nod of agreement. And like him, didn't offer further exposition on the matter. Even in her short time here before she had learned not to rely on a single meeting's statistics.

Then it was that time. Salem was the first to break the ice, but she knew more would follow. While she definitely wanted to get her hands on these so-called official records ... she wanted to do so sans audience.

"I think I'll follow," lifting a hand in a simple farewell to the room at large she too made her way out.

[Corn]

Corn nods to Winter 's note. "Indeed it is. I think it is very fortuitous. " If only it was not mostly libertines with their ideas, but better than just a handful of us.
Aurora 's response gets a mild (in self-deprecesion jest) groan and a biting of the lips. "Aurora, you are not sugar-coating it..." he said in jest.

He waves to Witch and Salem leaving. What do they have in 'a couple of days' ? Is there something planned that he forgot about in the next two days? The next meeting is a month away as far as he remembers.
Eidolon and Philip are still going through the acknowledgement, so he just gives a court "Good afternoon, fellow mages." to them both as well as Aurora and Chambers and proceeds to make his exit.

[Philip Crosen]

Philip smiled and nodded pleasantly to Eidolon, who seemed nice enough from a first glance and had pretty much answered all questions he`d asked as well. In stark contrast to Puck, he seemed sincere, accepting and non-evasive with his answers. And Philip hadn`t expected a personalized oath of fealty to each Mage either, after all. So he finalized Eidolon`s acknowledgement with:
"Well, I`m glad to hear it, Eidolon. I`m sure we`ll get along great. You are acknowledged in my eyes, welcome to Sacramento."
he said, solemnly, but still didn`t offer his hand, because of sympathy things. And the fact he`d picked up the general vibe it wasn`t that positively seen in the Circle was a thing too. The subject of what to reveal to Eidolon was somewhat touchy with the Mystagogues present scrutinizing his every word, so he just shrugged.
"Never mind that."
Philip also briefly nodded to Salem, when he mentioned his own acknowledgement and Witch too, as both of them announced their intentions to leave.
"Yeah. See you."
Aurora`s sarcasm of Corn`s childish reaction was duly noted as well, but he didn`t insult Corn by giving it the smirk he felt it deserved. Instead he continued to remain neutral in all matters pertaining to Corn and Witch, even as Corn responded to Witch`s remark.
And, it was soon time for Philip to concern himself with his next client, anyway. But also in equal parts to get away from the headache of an acknowledgement discussion the others had been so keen on. So he was quite delighted when his phone pinged. And others were leaving, too. Salem, followed by Witch. And now it was his turn.
"Gotta go, I`ve an appointment later I`d like to prepare some more for."
giving each mage in the place a nod, before leaving.

[Chambers]

Being able to cook proper meals was important and even though Aurora was the only one to voice her ascent of his idea it felt like a good sign. Something to raise as a minor point perhaps in a future meeting. ''It would also mean if anyone needs to stay in the Circle for an extended period or use it as their base of operations they would have somewhere to cook.'' He responds to the Shaman. He was thinking practically.

''That's very kind thank you.'' In response to Eidolon's compliment. Although an odd request Mastigos only need help to master death if I recall. ''A conversation for once we know each other better I think but again thank you.'' Training in the arcana would not be something freely given my a mystagogue after all.

With numbers up it looks like I'll need to make bigger batches in the future. A nod and smile go to Salem confirming he had heard and appreciated.

As numbers dwindle and people head off he nods to those leaving and then to those who remain. ''Likewise I need to be making a move, keep well all.'' And he walks out after collecting his cake tin.

We most mages having left and having reached 30 days I am going to close this one now. I will get the new one open asap first thing in the morning.
